Strength of a weak planet in Vargottam

Hello,
In my rasi chart (gemini lagna) venus is the planet with the least shadbala (290) and it is in vargottam in navamsa.
I have just started my venus dasha.Venus is also the 5th & 12 th lord.
Will it be able to give good results as it is in vargottam or because it is the weakest in the rasi chart it will not be able to give good results?

Is it better to have a strong planet in rasi chart as vargottam or a weak planet , so that at least due to vargottam it will gain some more strength??

Vargottama of venus will reduce its weakness. The results of the dasa will also depend upon the buktis of other planets, their positions and relationship to venus. Venus as 5th and 12th lord in 5th vargottama can give you some insight into spirituality.

A weak vargottam planet can give miseries, but those miseries can still give you name and fame. The effects of vargottam planet will be strong - good or bad depending upon its agenda (being functional malefic or benefic.). Antradasa will give results based on its relation with dasa lord in rasi. A strong vargottam planet is a blessing if it is a functional benefic.

By miseries - what kind of miseries u mean? here venus is supposed to be a benefic for gemini.

I can already see my expenses sky-rocketing.. may be coz of 12th lord dasha

Ok , if your Ve is giving you high expenses, is it for a good cause like luxury, some ones marriage, new house or is it for some unwanted expense like disesase, fine, litigation etc...
Since Ve owns both 5th and 12 th house you should get results associated with both houses.

What are the effects of debilitated but vargottam Venus?

In Rashi chart, Venus is debilitated in 12th house, conjunct 2nd lord Kuja.

In Navamsha, Venus is debilitated in 7th house, conjunct Mercury and aspected by Sun and Jupiter.

Add to that Venus is atmakaraka as well.

Vargottam makes a planet feel as if it is in it's own house irrespective of house lord a friend or foe or neutral.But other qualities(like debilitation,lordship,retro etc) of the planet play their game as usual.Dasa results depend on these qualities,aspects,association and transits.
