Following are the birth details of my cousin:
DOB: 17th January, 1985
TOB: 10:00 am
POB: Kolkata, West Bengal, India
The native has been under the influence of bad company since the last almost 10 years. This has led to his straying off the right path, and coming under the influence of substance abuse to the extent that he has been lying and stealing from home and family, and has also been placed in rehabilitation centers 3-4 times by his parents. His situation has only worsened over time, and now his family and his close relatives including us are extremely worried about him.
Kindly provide your expert analysis of his birth chart, and also provide your kind guidance about what can his family do in order to help him out of this extremely bad situation. Any remedies/upayas for him to perform may not work since he is not inclined to listen to anyone or to change, so kindly suggest remedies/upayas that his parents can perform for him.

1). Education: He managed to pass standard 10th studies (ICSE Board Exams) with difficulty in 2003. Thereafter, it bagan deteriorating. He was tranferred to some private school with their own private board in Kolkata. Then his father tried to put him in an aeronautics school but everytime he was given tuition fees for the school, it was used up for substance abuse. So, he was sent to rehab in 2005/06 where he seemed to change a little bit, but when he was brought back, he started reverting back to old habits.
2), Career: none; no job
3). Personality: He used to be good-natured, and good-hearted, probably gullible. Now, he has turned verbally abusive, violent, aggressive, and manipulative (lies).
4). Family relationships: He is the only son in his family, so everyone loved him a lot. He has a sister, five years elder to him. He is most attached to, and hence maybe spoilt by his mother. He used to be fearful of his father when young, but not anymore. He seems to have a good relationship with his sister beforehand.
This is all we know about him.

The significator of the mind is the Moon. The Moon is in his debilitation sign in the rashi chart and is also in debilitation in the navamsa. In the Rashi chart the moon gets a heavy affliction the Moon is smack between Lord Shani and Ketu. The Moon lacks Paksha bala and is not aspected by a benefic. from Lagna thre are no graha's in a kendra except in the 3rd kendra, but Budha is placed in a enemy sign and the lord of that kendra is debilitated. The lagna itself is shaky because the lord of the lagna is in debilitation. Note lagna lord is debilitated in the Navamsha too. To cut a long story short the afflictions are heavy. There is a pisacha yoga here because not only is the moon sitting with 2 1st rate Malefics, Chandra is in Shani's nakshatra doubling the afflictions. the aruda lagna is also afflicited. The lagna is in a fix because it's caught between 2 Malefics. what has really destroyed the horoscope is the 3rd aspect of Lord Shani on the Lagna lord Guru. The lagna lord's affliction in the Navamsha is immense.
The dasha of Ketu has finished this boy. personally I do not see any redeeming factor in the horoscope. The looming 7.5 years of Shani is a cause for concern. the comming Dasha of Shukra is also not promising because I have seen cases where Shukra dasha induces the person to addiction of one substance or the other, in mild cases it's sweets,
but in majority of cases I have see people who get addicted to alcohol at best. Shukra's placement in a Saturnine sign + his 12th lord placement cannot be good at all.
I am at loss to suggest any remedies here. I feel The only way there can be some change is in Lord Shani's worship.

No doubt there is a Parivarthana yoga, but the Parivarthan yoga is between two enemies and remember , what is the point of the 12th lord comming to the 9th ?
Rahu and ketu being exalted has only made them stronger and they has completely taken over the Moon. Moon lacks pakshabala and is unable to fight Shani's and Ketu's influence. Please note there is a very strong Kalasarpa yoga here . Ketu is extremely aggitated because he is between a fiery and a watery Rashi, he is not going to be merciful to the moon. Off course he cannot trouble Lord Shani
I feel that he can be controlled only by medical help. no amount of remedies are going to help him. this is a kind of a Pisacha yoga and the Kalasarpa yoga will not allow him to use his free will. I can assure you that he will be beyond redemption unless Shukra is benovolent to him. but Kuja and Shukra being in the 12th is deadly, both are in Guru's Nakshatra, and Guru is debilitated. I hope i am wrong for his parents sake but I think this is a futile case.

Your daughter was born on aslesha nakshatra, 3rd pada. The starting letter of the name should be "DE" sounding "DAY". No special pujas or homas are necessary but on the first birthday pls. perform a full fledged ayush homa which includes everything for the general well being of the baby.
