Is it true that Saturn in saggittarius ascendant with Venus conjunction delays everything in life like career? Which position makes it delay and when does it stop

It is not like that suppose sat is 5th house either in rasi or navamsa it will delay marraige ,and if sat is in 8th or 10 th house it will delay professional aspects like getting delayed in getting promotion,getting job etc.

What delays should one expect if Saturn is in 1st house? No offence but many people have this position and they married on time,get succes from a young age etc.

Saturn is a slow moving graha. Therefore, it is generally said that Saturn delays the results of the house or house lord that he influences.
However, this is only a generalization and dasha also needs to be considered. For example, a person has Saturn aspect on the 7th lord. His Saturn dasha was from 14 to 33 years. He got married during Mercury antardasha in Mercury dasha in his 34th year. Incidentally, Mercury is his 7th lord and located in 9th house.

Saturn's aspect on 10th may delay progress in significations related to 10th house like career, recognition, etc. However, if Saturn is 10th lord, it indicates enhancement of 10th house significations. Note that it is necessary to look at all other influences as well.
