Rahu as atmakaraka?

Can i take rahu as atmakaraka, as per sanjay rath ji, rahu degree =1 , - 30 degree =29 degrees

My venus 27 degrees so rahu is Atmakaraka, right?

Yes you can, if you use Sanjay Rath's 8 Karaka scheme.

I recommend 7 karakas and no Rahu. Most Jaimini scholars recommend the7 karaka system. With Jyotish software we can determine the degrees down to the second, making it unnecessary to use 8 karakas since the classics recommended 8 karakas only when two planets were at the same degree.
