I recently started learning about vedic astrology. I learned that the 10th house is not career per se but more like work environment. It would be very kind if somebody can shed some light. I have Rahu in 10th house in the sign of Aquarius (taurus ascending) and have been told all kinds of awful things.
Is there really no hope for me ? All responses are highly appreciated.

10th house is job, career, profession, employer. In your case 10th lord Saturn is yogakaraka placed in 8th can bring some hurdles for job. Rahu in 10th will bring challenges to work.

1. I enjoy trekking and hiking. I'm more into outdoorsy activities enjoying at gym or playing tennis.
2. I'm not married. My parents are looking but we don't have anything to report at the moment.
3. No children (ref point 2)
4. I have recently started working in a European firm as a technology analyst. I'm currently working from India itself, but might have to move to a different location in near future (I don't know when)
Before this, I was doing some freelance work as an academic consultant.

@onebikash I would say your interpretations are fairly drawn so 80-85% on that. I have not been told of foreign settlement though travel is indicated. And as you already know the marriage card is empty at the moment. I wore a coral before and now I have a gomed. Never really understood what gemstones do, obeyed my parents anyway. I have not been told about emrald, so I'm unable to verify. Rest looks very fair to me.

1. As for the gemstone part, I really don't understand how they work or what should I be expecting from them. I'm currently wearing a gomed because I was told I have kaal-sarp dosh. So I'm really sorry but neither do I understand what Kaal-Sarp is supposed to mean, nor do I know how the gemstone is supposed to affect me. I do know that Hessonite (Gomed) has medicinal properties and can be helpful in dealing with skin troubles. But apart from occasional pimples or heat-rashes, I've never had skin troubles. So really incapable of rating you on the gemstone aspect.
I do understand that my Mercury has the lowest degree and that it is afflicted by Ketu. I'm still confused where Mars affliction will count or not because of difference in degrees. I also understood that since Saturn has the 9th aspect on my 4th house where Me is sitting. But I have not been told anything about that. That's why I am unable to rate this particular interpretation.
2. As for foreign travel and settlement. This is the second offer from abroad that has materialized to some extent. The previous one didn't reach its desired end. Anyway, right now I'm working from home so travel to site is inevitable. I can verify that travel is at least on the cards. Hence I said 80-85%. You are definitely correct about travel, but I do not know about settlement/satisfaction. I have very limited knowledge and I sincerely apologize for it.
