Benefic Saturn and career obstacles-- joyd

Hi,

It is well known that Saturn in general delays stuff, especially the bhaav it sits and aspects, but is it true also for lagnas where Saturn is super-benefic such as Taurus, Libra, Capricorn, Aquarius?

I am asking this for a friend who's facing some struggles/delays in his career and is undergoing Saturn MD in his tenth house with Aquarius lagna

DOB: 26/9/1985
Time: 1632 (4:32PM)
Place: Patiala, Punjab
Gender: Male

He's a scientist with a PhD in computer engineering and is settled in USA, but has been looking unsuccesfully for full-time Professor jobs for the last 2.5 years since July 2016. Otherwise, things are good in his life in terms of money, satisfaction etc.. but the career delay is delaying his settlement in life and marriage, kids etc.

When will he get this new job? Note that he currently ahas a job but its temporary and not stable.

The current temporary job is very great in terms of work, but it is temporary (or ad-hoc). He got this job on May 1, 2014 right before the Saturn MD started.

Should he wear any gemstones? How will the rest of his Saturn MD be?

your understanding towards saturn for the above lagnas not correct.For taurus only he is more benific.His 10th house saturn aspects 12th[delays]4th[industry]and also the 7th[house of recognition].Aspect of saturn on 4-7-12 gives frequent job changes and unstable career graph,delays in marriage,settlement in life..This is the actual cause for his problem.Give me some couple of days time to check his chart in-depthly.

1) Saturn in scorpio is generally not good but for Aquarius ascendant it might produce good result after hard work. He will reach peak of career in Saturn Mahadasha. Career is struggling(low profile) in the beginning.Saturn’s aspect on fourth house gives profession in abroad and settlement as well. Native may be of laid-back nature. Saturn here is of transformation position- a change will lead to success.
2) The eleventh lord Jupiter is in Capricorn. This is debilitation sign to Jupiter. In D-10 chart also its in debilitated(lord of lagna and 10th). Jupiter is karak for career in education. He might have struggle in this vocation specifically. He may have success if he try private sector(travel or hospitality or Finance) or own work.Jupiter’s aspect on fourth house gives assets. It also indicate Mentor/Guide in finance field in corporate sector.Jupiter’s aspect on fourth house gives assets. The aspect on sixth house gives disease and debt. Aspect on eighth house gives long life to the native.
3) Sun-Mercury(with Mercury exalted) in 8th confirm research related education.Basically he might be well versed with lot of number related data. He who is well versed in detailed analysis and perfection.He might be successful in finance field.
4) Spouse may be authoritative in field- 7th lord in 8th.
5) Spouse may be the catalyst in staying abroad(she might be citizen abroad).

Thanks, bharat23! Yeah...all valid points. Mercury exalted in D1,D10. Mars,Moon exalted in D10. Jupiter debiliated in D1, D10, but since its more than 5 degrees...its out of deep-debiliation.

@panch-THe 1st portion of saturn dasa[6yrs-4 months] is tougher.THe 2nd portion is excellent and the final portion is average.His hora chart showing a new job opportunity after 16 months from now.Mars-moon-mer exaltation points are all negitive for securing a stable job.Jupiter placement in D10, saying that he has to start his career at low levels and finally reaches to peak positions.His marriage is or at 42 or after 44.sometimes it may happen exactly on his 44th year.I am visualising the same low profile ,unstable kind of job scenarios till saturn-ketu-Mars[23-6-2020].saturn-sun AD May give his desired job.[23-4-2024 ONwards] but There are also strong chances of starting his own institution[self-employment] In saturn mahadasha too not ruled out.

Thanks, joyd! That is very helpful. Would you recommend he wear a Yellow Sapphire (pukhraj) or Blue Sapphire?
The reason I said so is because Jupiter is in debilitation sign, though not in deep debilitation which is upto 5 degrees only. But, Jupiter being 2nd lord is also a markesh for Aquarius, so not sure if pukhraj is advisable....

Also, what's your final verdict...is this Saturn placement good for Aquarius ascendant?

BTW....not sure about his marriage prediction. He's getting married to a foreign national next February.
