Hi astro 123,

I looked up some info regarding kendradipathi dosha through online sources, most of them explained the dosha to be a reduction in the beneficience of the planet they also said it wasn't a major problem. since my dasha started in 2009, i came back to india and have travelled extensively within the country, im helping out with the family business, but there's no peace of mind or direction.. is it characteristic of mercury to give mental stress during its dasha?? am i looking at 17 more years of this??
And how would ashtam shani effect the next 2.5 years if my natal shani is in 9th with shukra and navamsha shani in 3rd with rahu?

Thank you,

Omkara

IMO,Saturn transit may not have a great impact as such unless it is sade sati norms...mercury as a planet is the biggest influence right now alongwoth the succeeding bhukti lord once its own sub period ends...Saturn will be exalted from november and will act as L11/L12 exalted in transit...Saturn is well placed in a trinal house alongwith friendly Venus...Cannot say why mercury is creating trouble..Where is mercury in d-9 ?

hi astro 123

Mercury in d-9 is placed in leo (10th house) and is conjunct with mars and venus. it is the 8th and 11th lord. my lagna is in scorpio in the d-9 chart. this mercury dasha has made me a very busy man, i have travelled extensively on business and my family business has grown , but for some reason since the beginning of the dasha i have felt lost in some ways, and directionless too. i have also missed on some big oppurtunities.. personally its been a rocky road and relations with family have also not been that great. is the navamsa indicative of such issues??

Thank you

Omkara.

Madam , The best part of your chart is, you neither dominate nor dominated by your husband.Since Saturn is transiting on your Mars and Ketu, you have no faith in caste, orthodoxy and religion. Must have suffered with some inferiority complex , if other factors are also supporting but still your mental courage and discriminating power would have increased. At present you are under Mercury-Moon-Saturn, Mercury is in exchange with Mars and with Venus, Moon is with 8L Jupiter and aspected by Saturn. At present you are feeling bit depressed due to some health problem . Some chronic problem may be troubling you. Regards

Hey guys,

You are scaring me with this. I was actually looking forward to Shani's transit in Libra, Shani being in my 10th house. But I have the same combo, Capricorn ascendant, Moon is Pisces. Hence Shani in Libra will also be 8th from Moon. Also Shani AD starting really soon!!!
What should I expect?

Hmmm ... looks like I am one of the lucky ones and I am not complaining :D

8th from Mo is my lagna in Ge. Sa's ashtakavarga points is 3. Mo is waning in Anuradha ( I am not complaining again :D ) and lagnesh is in Aq. The first ashtama was in Me MD and the second in Ve MD. Sa is the dispositor for both and is in Poorva Ashada, Ve's Nakshatra. No significant unpleasant things, neither to my body nor to my soul in either transit. I actually feel it was better.

The only possibility for Shanidev being soft could be that he is with Ju in Sg. But again Ju is the badhakesh.:?

Hey Nina,

Saturn is meant to be a benefic for me as I am a Capricorn ascendant and in November it will transit over natal Saturn, but with Moon in Pisces it is also 8th from Moon (the transit will also coincide with Venus MD/Saturn AD in 2013. What can you make of this? Overall positive or negative?

After 1 year,it will move to ur 8th house and so on and so forth...Jupiter changes sign once a year and completes the entire cycle in 12 years

Regards,
Saturn return i.e saturn transit over natal saturn is not considered good..so u will be under saturn return from november coupled with ashtam shani as well...So transit wise not looking good..However Saturn being Asc lord for Capricorn ,effects may not be very bad and the fact that the running MD is that of YK Venus , saturn and venus being friendly to each other u may expect good things to happen esp w.r.t career as Saturn will transit exalted 10th house form ur lagna

Thanks Nina.
All in all your Saturn is in a good shape.
Thank my stars (and planets of-course  ). Otherwise with four planets disposited by Sa (two of them under 3rd aspect), one conjunct Sa and another sitting debilitated in his nakahstra I could have had unending flow of sorrows with the baton of sorrow being handed over from one dasa lord to the other towards the goal post set by Sa the conroller!. Sa is also the strongest in Shadbala and lagnesh the weakest!

Will have to wait and watch for the sade sathi that will start in about two years. This will be the third. First, I was born in. Second was very good. Hopefully I will be lucky 3rd time too. May be I sound a bit greedy

Jupiter transit has nothing to do with Ashtam shani...Saturn transit in the 8th house from natal moon is Ashtam shani..Effects depend on natal strength of Saturn but more importantly the running dasha and bhukti lords

thx

Dasha/Bhukti is more significant and influential than transits of saturn or jupiter unless you happen to run their periods simultaneously...

Thanks Nina.
Use Vimshopaka Bala instead that'll tell you how well a planet does much better.
Sa does not show well there either. Ke is highest and indeed, Ke MD was the best. I agree that Vimshopaka bala is a better indicator.

Hi Nina,

I am currently undergoing both Ashtama Shani and Saturn return. The last 2 years have been one of the worst times of my life - more mentally than physically (although I havent been keeping well physically either in the last year). My confidence is at an all-time low - I think very negatively and feel like there is nothing to look forward to in my life (never felt like this before). Saturn leaves Virgo in Nov. but will be any change after? Saturn is the lagna and rashi lord. So I guess this ashtama shani transit was bound to have a profound effect on me.

Below is what you had mentioned to Ann in one of the posts..I dont know but I feel like this describes this transit for me..
Asthami is about straining relationships. it's in the 8H from Moon so it's about looking within the dark places in our psyche. and because of the 8H stuff this transit can bring about change that can feel traumatic to the emotions - but it doesn't correlate to something having to be awful!
My birth details are 11/26/1979, 1:00 pm, New Delhi, India. I would really appreciate it if you could take a look?

Best Regards.
