Namaste,
In the past 10 yrs after March 2008, I worked for a brief period of 6 months in late 2011 to early 2012. It was a miracle to land on a consulting opportunity on Feb 5th of this year, which I am currently into.
It is a good job that I am in, good people and work environment, a boss I like. However, to this date, I have not had the right opportunity to prove my skill-set to my boss. There is a method of programming called 'pair programming' in which all new employees are expected to work with a senior developer for the initial 3 or 4 months before assigned individual work. For some reason, although my pair seems to be a good person, and I am doing a good job, he is not conveying this information to my boss. The boss has been thinking for the past 2 months that I am not a confident person and that I cannot do individual work.
This trend has been going on. I'm now worried about continuing in this job. It is nearly 3 months into this job. I am praying every single day in the morning (regular sadhana) for 45 minutes before leaving to work. I try to do a good job at work, paying attention to details. Still the uncertainty continues... I am not sure what else I can do.
Will I last in my present job?
My dob: Oct 31st, 1971, 2:37 PM, Chennai.
Many thanks,
JRAVI

hi jravi,
Probably, the way you speak to your colleagues /bosses makes them feel so.
If you are not mistaking me, consult well settled people in professions, people who
are in top, Consultants, etc to get to know how to put things in the right perspective
to your higher ups. There are many things in us which need correction. You mar read
books relating to this aspect. Unless we approach this problem with an open mind,
it will never be visible to us. Accept this. You can come out of this.
Moon, placed the in second house is creating this problem. Moon is your mind.
Give it a try.
truly yours,
vedicmaths

True that, vedicmaths. I am not an effective communicator. I also problems with confidence levels.
Several times the boss had 1 on 1 meetings with me, and I have expressed my fears, quite frankly. (The system I work on is not a business application, it is a complex system related application, based on ports, virtual servers, network traffic, bindings and so forth... it was hard for me to understand, given I am from retail and banking/financial application development backgrounds).
My asset is that I work hard (which boss acknowledged to my consulting agency). The reality is I am also quite intelligent/intellectually capable worker who nicely fits in with the role (honestly) and all that I need is exposure.
Will I gain my boss's trust and continue in this job? This job, if only allows me to continue, will give me exposure and experience in key technical areas that trend in the market presently. Also I need it for gaining experience, following the huge break I described.
Kindly tell me. Many thanks.

Saturn in moon and moon in Saturn star.sun-Saturn positions are not encouraging for sub-ordination jobs.so try anything independently. This gives you success and fame.you are more negative thinking than positive because of Saturn-moon placement stars.sun in rahu star also not a welcoming sign in dealing with boss .Rahu in Moons- sravans star makes you less practical and more imaginative, which doesn't suits for management or programming or marketing kind of jobs.you may retain this present job till transit jupiter stays in Libra sign. you are more suited for independent kind of jobs like self establishing a consultancy or business of your own interest and kind.

Joyd,
Happy to receive your response. Your predictions are usually right on dot.
I do not claim to be a rockstar programmer to the level of coders authoring books, etc, but I am pretty good at it nevertheless. In my previous positions held as Programmer, I have had success and good name for work skills and ethics. My problem always seems to be my communication skills. I am prone to strifes and misunderstandings with bosses. Over the years, I have toned down a lot and realized my career blunders. With my given age and my previous work history, continuing in the same line (programming) that I have done for a while before is my only option. Also, programming pays good and it involves less communication and tactics/people skills than many other occupations demand. So I have no other options to consider.
Thanks for letting me know I will continue in my current job till end of this year. That will give me close to an year's worth of experience in my present job with which I can look for something else outside. If there is any particular deity or prayer that will give me an edge over the career situation and place me well, please let me know.
Thanks,
jravi
