Hi Sandeep,
Thanks for your input. I want to limit the forum to an academic sharing of qustions and answers about jyotish principles not free readings about people's charts. Right now the size of the forum is barely manageable. Can you imagine how huge it could get if people found out they could get a free reading? It would get out of hand and sincere students are the one's who would lose out. Vaughn Paul

Please do not take too much stress regarding participation on the board. It seems many members appreaciate your participation so much that they would not let you do your important work with your clients and writing the study materials. So just maintain the balance - the net world is always so time-consuming, and we all nee some routine and discipline to keep it from taking too much of our time.

The forum is great!
One thing that (might require some effort though) can really be a game changer is that if we can see charts. That is if somebody posted the TOB/DOB/Place then we could get the charts automatically in the discussion forum. Then everyone is referring to the same chart and won't have to go back to another place to chart it and analyze it.
It would be good for the forum and the website.

it is wonderful experience for me. So may experts spending time and giving valuable feedback

in a nutshell i can say it's superb!! and no doubt about it that some scholar in our forum is really enriched this board. no doubt among the other board it's really deference as presentation, as segment as prediction and many more things i feel proud to get chance here as a member.

What Subhashish means to say is that this board is really different from others and the segmentation of the various topics, group wise is what he likes. Moreover, he is requesting for automated prediction based on software compared to which, members can conclude whether they are right or wrong.

Such a jyotish software does not exist to date. I have heard Parashara's Light has some server features, but I do not know what it can do. And the server lisence is very expensive.
But defenitely I am looking for possibilities for at least having a tool for casting your chart here online, though without automated prediction, at least for now.

Omkarji,
I dont think such a tool can ever exist. IMO Astrology is not just a calculative science. The predictions come via the energies manifested within via the divine sources too, apart from core logic exhibited via placement of planets. I have come across people who just look at Rasi chart once for a few seconds and start speaking about the person so accurately that one would faint, how come this person knows so much.
there have also been instances, when people have done this via face reading.
I myself sometimes, just speak for the sake of it and things come true. So much so that while watching a cricket match, before the ball is bowled, I would just go on to say that the ball goes to extra cover for four and guess what next, It goes in the same area, same shot for four. And if i tell someone see if i say this thing and it will come true, it will not happen.
Once I told my friend who had pregnant wife to not commute to highway with his wife, as he is real fond of driving and stuff. I said it out of mere fellow concern. The next time he went, he met with an accident and his wife died. He was terribly horrified with what i had to say, as I had told him few things before and they went just right. And I was not prediciting anything. Just speaking in routine life. I have stopped saying things too frequently and speak very limited with family and friends on negative matters. the things have become so much so obvious with my wife that if she does not agree to what i say, it would never go her way. And all that we do in the end is glance each other a look. By now, she knows it. And the friend, i mentioned, he is my best friend now, although we started off as not liking each other. I have often told things to my father, mother and they just discounted my words as bacha hai and paid heavily for it in the end. And frankly speaking, I am not sure if it is my speech or just intuitive ability or both or none. Because, whenever i told these things to them, it was mere concern and not any prediction.
Once I went to meet my neighbour aunt who was healthy and happy. I went to her only once, saw her hand by chance and my face went dull. I immediately came downstairs to my own home with a worried face. Mom came after some time and asked me what happened. I said nothing. After some insistence, I had to tell her that aunty will not be living too long. She died the next year out of cancer.
And all this without seeing any horoscope. My dad had some high intuitional abilities. Infact, what he spoke happened without fail. But last few years have been not too good for him in terms of the intuitive part. Things are not the same anymore after mom expired in Oct 2008.
I am not sure how these things happen but I know for sure that there cannot be a software which can predict all this stuff. It's just beyond mechanical stuff and core computer logic.

i think your quote is enough to understand all of our member. sonu ji it's really an inner call.but if it can to get prediction via computer program nothing like it.though i heard some software are there and it's for commercial purpose. but i doubt of there authenticity

since this new board came up a few days back,whenever I send a PM to a member,it remains in my outbox for a long time,sometime even 48 hours or always...why is this so?does the message get delivered to the person whom I am sending to or not?or does it mean that the person whom I have sent the message to,hasnt read it yet?is this normal...its so confusing...
in the previous board,PM's used to be delivered right there & then the moment you sent them...
please advise

The message stays in your Outbox until the recipient has read the message. When he has read, the message is automatically moved to your Sent -box.

Is there a way that if we choose to ignore to read a particular user's posts/threads we cannot see them at all ? Currently there is a feature where you can add a userid as a foe and his/her posts will be hidden, but the thread still appears. Some of members here have resorted to "Civilized Spamming" and I wish to ignore the posts as it takes the entire context away from AStrology. Please advise.

the discussion board is one of the few good astrology forums i have seen online. But i dont seem to get replies to my questions inspite of having questions only on the study of astrology and nothing to do with analysis of my chart.
