What i think is a malefic is a malefic. It will be benefic in its dasha and also for the lagna which is body and vitality and health of the native

Your lagna is libra/tula shani is lord of 5th house and 4th house it becomes a temporary benefic. Its fallen in aries might give him trouble of expression, but he has digbala in the 7th, so shani has some strength.
