Well I know most people in this section have asked questions about living abroad and settling there. I currently live abroad and have been for the last 3 years. While I was initially thrilled by the idea of living outside I yearn to get back to India, the country of my birth. Is there any chance of me settling in India. I currently run the dasha of Jupiter which is my ninth lord which is exalted in Cancer (lagna). Also how does one interpret D4 (Chaturtamsa) to get finer information like this. Does one rely heavily on the main chart or if the birth time is precise can we rely on D4?

Dear Vish123,

I think in jupiter-venus, you may have a break/change in profession. Still venus in nakshatra of rahu, which is in 3rd house may not support you to settle in home. venus in 7th in dasamsa is a turning point in professional life.

Saturn dasa may fulfill your wish as it is in 4th lord venus nakshatra.

saturn is in navamsa lagna is good for marital life also better than jupiter dasa which is 3rd house in Navamsa.

these are just my insights and i welcome other's further comments.

dear krishnaji,

thanks a lot for the reply. I am a bit confused. You mention about venus being in the 7th in my D10...but I thought it was in the 11 house in Dasamsa.

Also I had a question in case of D4 i.e my chaturtamsa I see a debilitated Jupiter in the 4th and I am also running the dasa of Jupiter ...wondering whether it has any effect on residence. Although my parents are constructing house I have not been able to make any significant contributions apart from providing some inputs and getting my friend to assist them in the construction. Does a debilitated jupiter in the 4th have any effect as regards residence, possession of home etc? I would have loved to contribute but I still remain a student pursuing research studies therefore not in any position help in the construction.

Would be grateful to get some insights from you regarding the doubt I stated above.

Dear Vish123,

Apologies. In D11 venus in 11th from lagna only. Only in D4 it is in 7th from lagna. I don't know how i missed out.

Usually D4, I take for assets and properties not for Home settling.

Even if a planet is debilitated but in good houses from lagna of a D chart, good effects will be felt. But the quantum will be less.

I am pretty sure that you have great chances to construct a good house in Jupiter-venus. Venus is strong in rasi chart and dircetly aspecting D4 lagna.

The golden rule of reading a D chart is if there planets in D lagna and 7th from D lagna it gains strength particularly in that period.

Though mercury is in 11th from D4 it is aspected by mars and saturn further being in 6th from jupiter. So it loses strength (only in D4)

But in D10 it is placed well with ownhouse saturn and aspected by jupiter.
so professionally it must be a good period for recognition.

please confirm whether above reading is true or not!

other predictions as per my last post, holds good.

sorry again for typing error!!

I have mentioned D11 instead of D10 in the beginning and in D4 Mercury in 8th from jupiter not in 6th!

Thanks a lot to both Krishnaji and Ninaji.

I have largely had an average time living abroad. The life as a post grad researcher is usually lonely and solitary and besides living abroad and away from family members results in frustration which is why I got concerned as to whether jupiter debilitated in the 4th in D4 has such an effect. While parents are constructing house in India I was unable to financially help them in their effort. Which is why I thought may be the debilitation could render me powerless to help them. Otherwise it has been ok.

Regarding my d10 yeah...my venus is in the 11. Concern for me is that my mars which is the 10th lord in the main chart is in the 8th house in d10. While i am into research and previously as well (prior to my phd) I worked as a researcher I am a bit concerned as to what effect it will have given that it is the 10th lord of the main chart and is badly placed in d10. Unsure as to how it plays up in the future .

thanks a lot for interpreting my horoscope.

Dear Vish123,

Thanks for the feedback.

Your loneliness and frustration i think because of 12th lord mercury's sub period.

But the coming ketu sub period will change things. It is in jupiter's constellation and aspected by jupiter (more indications of 9th house)

Also ketu is in 7th from dasamsa lagna. Saturn's aspect to it will not affect but rather help in professional matters (by hard work etc) So profession will improve greatly in Jupiter-ketu period.

The only thing is ketu is not well placed in D12 and hence healthwise may not be good for one of the parents.

No need to worry about mars's position in 8th from Dasamsa lagna. It is aspected by jupiter. Only a change is indicated.

wish you good luck.
