Which is more malefic: Waning Moon in Cancer OR Waxing Moon in Scorpio?

I know that it can depend on many other things in the natal chart, but my question is which combo by itself do you PERSONALLY consider to be more malefic and more challenging?

Waxing Moon (benefic) being in the sign of Scorpio (debilitated) OR Waning Moon (malefic) BUT being in the sign of Cancer (ruled by Moon itself)?

I would like to hear your opinion.

I know someone with a waning moon in Scorpio doing perfectly fine.

Irrespective of Moon's waxing and waning, Moon is said to be stronger if she placed 72 degrees ahead or behind from the Sun.

I am wondering why I read many texts say how yogas and chart strength depends a lot on moon being strong.
But how come I see so many celebrity or very successful multi millionaires who have moon so close behind sun (same sign but behind, or 12th from sun). ?

does it maybe have to do with being daytime or nightime birth?
Weak moon but daytime birth is okay as long as sun is good?

I think that Waxing Moon in Scorpio is more malefic out of the two. In my opinion the Moon being debilitated in a sign holds more power than the fact is that the Moon is waxing.
