Hello, I am new here, and I sincerely appreciate any help. I am new to learning Vedic astrology, and there is still so much to learn. I have recently spoken with an astrologer whom said I will be "raising children until the age of 40" (I am 35 now). This concerns me as I have a 5 year old daughter. I started to look at my daughter's chart, and while there is still a lot I am trying to learn, it seems I am finding indications of a 'short life' in her chart, given the placement of her 8th house Lord, malefic planets, and Lagna lord. I know there is a lot I don't know about this system, but I have to admit it keeps me up and worried at night. I am hopeful someone with more knowledge could help explain some of the things in her chart, if I may ask. Her birth information is September 3, 2012 at 8:55 PM in Libertyville, Illinois.
I really appreciate any help or advice.

Mom2,-As per your given birth info of your daughter i find the following points.
There is a lot o decide once longevity but you are a beginner i dont like to give all those details here. you daughter has an approximate longevity of -58 years.out of this 58 years,the year 2040[at her 28th year]a bit troublesome regarding her health point of view but not fatal year.After this her 32-33-34[any of these three ages]also gives minor health problems.After the above mentioned ages,there is no health problems till the end of her life.Be happy and sleep well.Nothing to worry much on your daughters longevity.Normally we don't disclose to longevity info to anybody in India but as you mentioned in your post that-'but I have to admit it keeps me up and worried at night.'

Joyd and Mom2 - read this as comments only. Not trying to lecture anyone.
If joyd does not disclose longevity info to anyone in India, why disclose it to Mom2abiline either? 58 is NOT an approximate age, it is a VERY SPECIFIC forecast of this native's longevity. No one except God will know these things, so avoid such "predictions". You can always say 55-60 years, or 60-65 years.
I'm sure the Mom2 can learn or find out the rules for Alpaayu (< 32 years), Madhhyaayu (32-72), Purnaayu (72-100) and Dirghaayu (>100-120+ years). So anyone can be specific - but SHOULD THEY BE???
As I cast the child's chart, and was looking into the calculation rules, 2 things happened - i.e. "Nimitta" or excuses or obstructions. I got 2 phone calls, one from someone who mistakenly dialed it (butt dialing), and the other was a wrong number, she apologized and hang up. That nimitta was enough for me to not to look into the chart any further....
I just did not like the way Joyd wrote this message. Need to be sensitive and even if a person asks, there is no need to reveal specific infos.
