Mars debilitated but is yogakaraka

Dear Guru,

I'm currently studying vedic, very into Lajjitaadi for now. I need some guidance in this.

I have mars, venus and jupiter in cancer in lagna. Mars debilitated but is yogakaraka. Saturn in 7th house capricorn aspects mars. in Lajjitaadi Avashtas saturn retrograde in capricorn, first its in directional strength and therefore mars was trashed by saturn. but, jupiter is lifting mars up. How do I judge my mars?

By default if mars is debilitated, but is yoga karaka (without any aspect of benefit or malefic). will mars be strong? Someone told me if a debilitated planets is yoga karaka it will consider strong.

hi clydewong, think the following to get your answer: -

1) mars is debilitated but it is posited with exalted Jupiter

2) look at the difference between Saturn and mars in degrees and also don't forget Saturn is retrograde

Saturn will have its effects no doubt, but when considering mars alone, I don't find any problem with mars in your case.

if a planet is debilitated and considered strong because it is yogkaraka, I personally don't believe in this. the effects would certainly hamper.

masasmasas, your mars is in 12th house, the lord of 10th and 5th. 12th house lord is in 8th (considered good by many). no planet in kendrasthanas. ascendant lord in the 8th.

struggle is clearly visible in your life. there are some good yogas (such as strong venus in the 9th and 9th lord aspect 9th) as well but you should be careful of utilizing your potential rather than wasting your energy in worthless jobs.

I have a strong feeling from this horoscope that you don't put efforts in the right direction and that your energy despite your deeds doesn't bring out something good for you.

archit ji my lagna is leo. jupiter in 2nd(8th,5th lord) venus(10,3rd lord) and mercury(2nd,11th) in 8th sun(lagna), moon(12th lord) in 9th rahu ketu in (4,10) saturn(6,7th lord) in 7th

oh! I am sorry masasmasas, I had put in wrong (3 in place of 4 for month ) details. now it is correct.

now mars becomes 4th and 9th house lord. though mars is located in cancer, it is in leo navamsa so not very weak, however mars placed in 12th is not very good always.

do you feel people have deceived you?

do you unnecessarily lose money i.e. money doesn't stay in your hands?

such people are also prone to danger from fire/accidents so beware.

Well I do get deceived easily but I am lucky so no major problems here. I do spend lot too. What does the kundli say about my financial condition and career. I am currently studying in a prestigious but not sure where I am headed. Also mercury and jupiter have exchanged lordship, same with moon and mars. Also saturn in 7th house is in its own house aspected by mars. Does this have any Positive or negative effects. Thank you so much for your guidance.

Hi My rising is also Leo and Mars is in 12th in cancer with Rahu... I have heard different things. One astrologer told me to stregthen Mars because I am a Leo asc but I don't know if that such a good idea. I wonder also if Rahu increases the debilitated affects of the Mars and that I should be worried or if my exaulted Taurus Moon nullifies that and also if Venus in Libra in 3rd somehow purifies the negativity out of Rahu.

I can share with you umpteen charts with debilitated YK natives both successful n unsuccessful.

What I mean to say is that its impossible to predict like that. Dashas matter alot.

I have stopped looking at individual aspects of strength/weakness of a planet. Instead I give more weight to Shadbala and Vimsopaka bala of the planets. Using this gives a more accurate picture of how much effect the planet can give during its dasa and transit.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
