All the experts & gurus,

I seem to have Vipreet Rajyoga via Sun-Mars exchange in my natal chart.

1. Virgo ascendant.
2. Sun with retro Mercury & Venus in 3rd house (Scorpio owned by Mars) having aspects from Saturn (in ascendant) & Mars (house 12). Sun owns 12th house.
3. Mars in house 12 with Jupiter & Rahu (having 75% of aspect from Sun with retro Mercury & Venus).
4. Saturn owning house 6 in kendra (house 1), aspecting Mercury (atmakaraka) - does this display VRY? Please throw some light on this.
5. Mercury as atmakaraka having aspects from Mars, Saturn & conjunct Sun & Venus. How will this affect overall?

Besides the above, my D9 displays VRY in a different pattern:

1. Leo ascendant with Sun, Jup & Moon.
2. Venus (of 3rd house) exhalted in 8th.
3. Saturn in own house with Ketu in house 6 aspecting Mercury (atmakaraka of natal) in 12th.
4. Mars in 11th NOT aspecting Mercury, but aspecting Saturn.
- Does this matter in VRY with respect to D1?
- Please elaborate.
heartiest thanks a lot for such beneficial posts by all....

I read the thread. In our chart we have also VRY. Can u tell me is it strong VRY in our chart? my wife has 8th lord and 6th lord exchanging eachother house. Will it be powerful when dasha comes? I have 8th lord in 12th house, 12th lord is in 6th house while 6th lord is in Ascendent in natal chart but 6th lord placed in 12th house in Chalit chart. Is it called VRY? What are the effects of it during our lifespan?

following is my detail.

DOB : 09th March, 1980
POB : Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India
TOB : 08:10pm

Following is my wife's detail

DOB : 13th November, 1981
POB : Jaipur, Rajasthan, India
TOB : 06:11 pm

Dear Anupamji,

Does the effect of the signification of the bad houses gets destroyed in case of VRY? Like, when 6th lord is in the 8th house, would it mean that the enemies and disease and debts and struggles, which are represented by the 6th house, and disease and struggles and humiliation and debts, which are represented by the 8th house will not be experienced as both will get cancelled out, or will it be felt more strongly as both the houses are showing negative things?

Basab,

I do not think it is cancelled out if anything is to be read from my chart. Of course this is just an example, more experienced astrologers will surely answer your question.

I have 6 lord Sa in 12H and 12 lord Moon in 6H - my chart is practical example of debts and expenses.

Sa also rules my 7H, so my expenses increased when I got into a relationship - to keep up the relationship I went abroad taking huge loans and today I have many loans to clear while the relation doesn't move forward.

If there is a need for a correlation, while this relationship started during Ra/Sa period peaked all through my Saturn return (2005), my expenses/loans increased exactly when Saturn hit 8H from Moon (Leo, which is my ascendant as well - 2007, Ra-Me-Sa).

Neither Saturn nor Moon gave good results to me, although the parivartan is supposed to be vipareet raj yoga - should have been more strong, as Mo in D1 is in Sa's sign and both Sa and Mo are together in Capricorn.

Your being under debts is a temporary result of saturn in adverse transit. Your total ashtakvarga shows more gain than loss in life and more gain than efforts made by you. The negative aspect of saturn over sun has made you bereft of money for the time being. The basic nature of sun in second house is being royal and liberal, when you have good days again, try to help the needy.sun mercury together in second make you a learner or learned in astrolgy.
Saturn in 12th itself does not support any debts,it is presence of moon in 6th (which you refer as relation)that has indicated adverse results.

Satya,

I too think that the negative effects of the houses doesn't cancel out as we think in cases of VRY. I know of a person with Leo ascendant and Saturn in the 12th house. He is running the period of Saturn and has been struggling all through the period, though quite a few years of the period is still left for him. In your case, I really am finding it difficult to understand why you lost more money in the Mercury sub-period when it should have made more sense astrologically if it had happened in the Saturn sub-period.

Anupamji,

Thank you for answering my question--you explained the point really wonderfully.

True, Sa just gave unwarranted expenses, which lead to huge debts (Moon in 6H=>debts) - nothing is stand alone component in a horoscope. As you said, I hope it is temporary - been about three years and none of my loans decreased an inch and I do not see them going in next one decade.

You are right about more good than bad in my life - but doesn't mean life without challenges, just that I have enough resources and right attitude to fight with the challenges :)

Basab, I too wonder why its in Me sub period - but I guess its more to do with ashtama sani and Sa over my lagna - Merc just happened to be on the lagna. Just a guess.

But whichever it is, definitely not VRY - there is just one possibility - I may be driven to sell my Mother's only property to clear my foolish debts - then it definitely qualifies as VRY according to onlookers - her fall and my benefit. I pray to the God daily not to punish me in that fashion whatever my sins :(
Basab

Satya,

You were running the sub-sub period of Saturn then, which can be taken as an indicator of loans. And then ashtama shani as you have rightly pointed out. I think that Saturn, the significator of the 12th house of loss and expenses and debts on the natal Mercury, the 2nd and 11th lord of wealth, in transit could have caused the problems more.

Don't worry, everything will work out with God's grace. I don't know when your debt problem will get over, but, I think, this period, Rahu-Venus, will be good for you career-wise and also generally.

We tend to forget that saturn is the teacher who punishes his disciples sometimes for bad past karma, but for those who do not deliberately trample upon the others, ultimate result of saturn is always positive.
This time I am almost without any income but I survive during jupiter dasa saturn bhukti.

Thanks Nina. I think I get your point. But seriously it is quite confusing - parivartana it self is a confusing concept and when it involves mutual aspect it gets a little more so. And in this case, Sani rules 2 different houses - 6th and 7th.

Did you say lessons in relationships because of Sani's lordship of 7H or Sani being in 7H from Moon? I am asking because I am not too clear how it operates - lordship of 7H, being placed in 7H, aspecting 7H (3,10 or 7th aspect). I am of course, not denying the lessons part - I had an intensive course for last few years :)

I know it is more of intuition than analysis for more experienced in astrology but I just can't help shredding it into pieces and examining each piece before I can understand the whole.

I think patterns have to be repeated in the whole horoscope, not just D1 chart for any thing combination to manifest - I do not consider the D1 chart combo as VRY because in D9 it turns into pravrajyoga :)

Hi Nina,

Thank you for answering my question. I found Sanjay Rath's definition of VRY quite complicated--hardly understood it. :( I agree with you that VRY's are very rare because the VRY, which is popularly known--a dusthana lord in another dusthana--doesn't, as per my experience, work in most of the cases.

Anilesh,it is slight yoga,but 7th L in 12th too,an undesirable place for your daily income/occupation.

Yes zinkari,it is moon the 8th L in 6th H,you need to be cool and wait patiently for good time .Mars the 12 L in own house and own sign is stronger yoga than that of moon, mutual aspect of mars and moon keeps you financially secure but agitated in mind. The auspicious effects of 12th mars are that one may be charitable, founder of such association.Let mars come out of combust sun by making yourself sympathetic of other's sufferings who are less fortunate than you or me.

Dear Basab and all,

As far as I could recall, the biggest instance of VRY that I know of, has been Saurav Ganguly's entry to Indian Test cricket team in 1996. Saurav had no chance to be a part of the India team. Sidhu was there. Suddenly Sidhu complained to the board about Azhar's misbehaviour and came back. Saurav now was called in. He came in and rest is history.

I checked his chart. He was running Rahu MD, Venus AD.
His details are: 8.07.1972, Kolkata, 8.30 am.

Would learned members have a look at this?

I have VRY in my chart, and I feel it did work on one occassion but it happened on a most cruel occassion - my mother's death.I was left with a big inheritance due to my mother's death. How more cruel can fate be?I was later told that my mother's death was foretold based on my chart. Was this due to Moon's position in 6th house or did the VRY also contribute to it?

My mother died on 13.11.1996 when I was running Ve-Ve-Me. In my chart Ve and Me and dusthana lords placed in conjunction in 10th house.

My details:
18.7.76
12.37PM
Madras,India

If VRY did really work then it is a really bad yoga to have in one's chart as my chart proves.

After my earlier post I also went through my brother's chart to see if VRY was in action during my mom's death and it happens to be there as well.

In this case Mo & Me are conjunct in the 3rd house. He was running Mo-Me-Ra at the time of my mom's death.

No,saturn usually protects the house occupied by it,even if some harm is caused to the house in occupation of saturn, saturn ensures a replacement.

quote:"The explanation is that Saturn will behave more like the third house lord in this case and its location in 3rd from 3rd will harm the prospects of 3rd house".
