I am surprised anyway. Venus is in exchange with mars, 5th and 6th house and also is close to rahu.
Also venus which is kalatrakaraka is the weakest in terms of shadbala and astavarga and is afflicted with sun and rahu.
I dont think that combustion depends on which is higher in longitude. If it is less than or equal to 3 degrees, it is combustion to a great extent.
But still you say you have wonderful relationship. Anyway I am unable to understand.

It is true that some afflictions to Venus do exist and Venus is the sthira kalatrakaraka. But marital life does not depend on Venus alone.
The chara kalatrakaraka in the chart is Jupiter who is in the 9th. 2nd lord Moon occupies the 7th. Jupiter aspects both lagna and lagna lord (and also Mars who is in the nakshatra of Jupiter). In the navamsa, Jupiter is the lagna lord, is vargottama and aspects the 7th house, sits with the 7th lord and also aspects Venus. The Sukhasthana in the navamsa also belongs to Jupiter.
In the dasa of Moon (2000-2010), Jupiter was activated since he is the dispositor of Moon. In the dasa of Mars (2010-2017), he remains activated due to his being the nakshatra lord of Mars. In the next dasa of Rahu, he will continue to act since he is in Rahu’s nakshatra.
Regarding views on combustion, I have stated that those are my observations in many charts. There is no textual reference and hence I have no further comments to make on the same.

As for arrogant behaviour, Moon is the 6th lord in Lagna and is in Shatabisha nakshatra belonging to Rahu. It would literally take 100 physicians (shatabisha) to read the mind of such people. Moon shifts to the 12th in bhava. Rahu and Saturn in the 2nd in Mercury's(5th and 8th lord) nakshatra gives the bad and cunning speech. Jupiter's aspect will have its positive effects too - a Gajakesari yoga is formed but the axis of effect shifts to the 6-12 axis in the bhava chart.

Close combustion effects can’t be generalised. It depends on the relative strengths of the Sun and the combust planet. It also depends on whether the combust planet is an inferior planet or a superior planet.
From my observations, for the first category (Mercury and Venus), if the planet is otherwise strong, its inherent qualities are boosted up (Intelligence, beauty etc) while its external karakatwas suffer. For the superior planets (Mars, Jupiter and Saturn) both inherent qualities and external karakatwas may suffer.
I do not understand what you mean by saying “Kemdruma which has planets in lagna”.

Thank you, again, for superior planets too, if the degrees are more than 7 for example, the effect will be less is it not?
I said, my own case, kemadruma but you said, partially cancelled when chandra is in kendra.
For me chandra is in lagna, which is also a kendra and so partial cancellation of kemadruma. Still I see its effect.
