Pisces Ascendant - most unfortunate?

I believe this is the most unfortunate ascendant. Sun, Venus, Mercury , Saturn and Jupiter himself are not great for this ascendant.

I was close to death when I was 18 (rahu), my education took longer than necessary (masters in US in Rahu), my profession (promotions went unrecognized) has suffered even though i am running Jupiter dasha (although I must agree, in a good company in US).

Jupiter is debilitated in cap in 11th, my moon though exalted is aspected by Saturn, my mars in Virgo(enemy), my venus in Libra (own but bad for pisces) in 8th is conjunct with ketu, sun saturn mercury in scorp ninth.

It’s unfortunate that an ascendant ruled by Jupiter is the worst ascendant to be born in.

I am willing to bet I don't have one good planet.

Although a few minutes earlier, 13.25 it's aquarius asc. Not sure if my birth time is right on.

Not sure why you consider yourself unfortunate when you're doing so well in life with an American PG degree and job.

All your lucky planets - Moon, Jupiter and Mars are in good dignity. Sure Jupiter is debilitated but it receives aspect of Saturn so the debilitation gets reduces as you age and you get results of neechbhang raj yoga. Mars has a parivartana yoga with mercury so they both are actually not harming each other rather working together to give good results. Moon as you know is exalted giving you a stable mind.

The only problematic planet in your chart is Ketu. Remember Rahu rules the sign of Aquarius and Ketu rules Scorpio with Mars. So both Mars and Ketu needs to be well placed in order to give very good results.

Thanks Indvedic for the reply, appreciate it. I was feeling pretty low that day, now I firmly believe in free will, stars impel they do not compel I agree I had a good education and my delay was due to my own laziness.

I love programming and in a programming domain, can I do business with my chart, not that it will matter, I am doing it anyway!

Having said that, I am curious to know what I can do to remedy the situation with Ketu just to be on the safe side, also what if I was born 5-7 minutes before in Aquarius ascendant, wonder what the dignities would be like?

Mercury is programming right? I love programming even though I had my degree in electronics and switched to a programming career, and am much much happier! But Mercury is not supposed to be good for Pisces? That's like 1 or more ascendants out of 12 people shouldn't be pursuin programming as Mercury is not lucky for them?

I think this Vedic astrology thing is not making any sense , I am afraid..

No I do not consider Mercury to be programming which in your case is retrograde.

Mars is the technical engineering planet. It aspects your ascendant and the 10th house of career. Read my posts in career.

Interesting, but still u mean to say mercury is not lucky for all pisces ascendants? I have heard Mars is engineering sure, almost everywhere programming and logic is considered mercury's forte. Wireless communications (again Mercury) is the field I work in, and universally programming and computer science is not considered pure engineering. Check your basics regarding mercurial professions.

A mercurial person would be very interested in communication. Remember it rules the 3rd house of the Kalapurusha ( Gemini - cosmic third house).

Your case Jupiter rules 10th house of career. It is in the 11th house.

I think Mars definitely helps in programming. Mars is a destroyer but one needs to think spiritually to comprehend it's role. Programming (and I am a programmer) is a subject where you need to split a big problem into smaller pieces(see Knuth art of programming). Mercury will help in programming for sure because you need to communicate your ideas to your peers and superiors. The ability to document your ideas will be key to success in the scientific/programming world.

In any case for you your Mercury does not rule the house of career or aspects your house of career or the the lord of house of career. It does aspect the 3rd house though. Your moon mercury opposition gives you writing skills. Plus you have the advantage of a full moon birth.
But without the mars aspect of your 10th house and ascendant I doubt you would be a programmer.

You refer to my basics - no problem. Can you show consistently charts of programmers/engineers where in mars does not aspect the 10th house or the ascendant or 10th house lord or being present in the 10th house ? Or vice versa where in mercury does the same ?

I must confess I am an amateur in vedic astrology, tbh I am mostly a skeptic.

I am not arguing against your logic, but a youtube/google search on vedic astrology and mercury careers, and almost all of them point to computers and related professions, including trade, etc. So you must agree that there is a lot of inconsistencies in what people believe a planet is ruling.

But i like that you referred to a spiritual take on the matter of Mars' role, this is what I am looking for, not some soothsayer predicting doom. I want to make use of this knowledge to grow and better my life with mental,physical and spiritual changes, not wear gems and do a lot of mantras out of fear( though i do like the mrityunjaya mantra, it saved me).

Thanks Malavya. I have a small question though, since u say Mars is really a good planet for me, it's sitting in its enemy sign of mercury , will that be something I need to look out for ( such as certain tendencies) or the parivartan taking care of it?

It rules the 9th house which to me is the most important house since it relates to pitris, gurus, acharyas, elders and spirituality and law. If you strengthen this house, it's ruler and the karaka (Jupiter) - slow improvement in life can be seen. Sanatana Dharma discourages overnight changes.

The parivartan is between a kendra lord and a trikona lord. So that is an asset. Regarding it's sitting in an enemy sign this is part of how one manages contradictions and challenges. When you embrace spirituality those contradictions and challenges will resolve themselves over a period of time.

I think you will need to verify your events in life with the respective birth charts i.e. Aquarius and Pisces.

Aquarius ascendant you would have a parivartan between 10th house lord and 8th house lord. Again Mars and Mercury but they have different significations. There would be more room for career confusion with Aquarius ascendant.

Plus you have Saturn and Sun in 10th house. I mean are you interested in being a leader ? Does MBA hold any charm for you ? Any future plans in politics ?

Plus with Jupiter fallen in 12th house (being ruler of 11th house) losses can be expected. You could go into business with your partner if that interests you(7th house lord in 10th house).

1. I do not have any interest in leadership in a political sense. I have an intense desire to run a successful business one day, but not power hungry. Honestly, I want to earn enough or more than enough to become financially independent and then travel the world with my gf, parents and brother!

2. Partnerships haven't been very successful for me, in fact every time I try to start a project with someone they either get lazy or lose interest, I have become more self reliant in my business endeavors.

3. I was about to give GMAT last year but decided its not worth it to start your own business, I don't want to raise high in a corporate structure, I want to be independent.
