When one looks at the birth charts(what we know from scriptures) of Ram and Krishn avatars do both these charts have kemadruma yoga ?

For Ram(Cancer ascendant) all planets are exalted or in their own house(except Mercury). But He has Ketu in 12th house. Does that prevent kemadruma yoga i.e. no planets either side of Moon ?

For Krishn - Moon is conjoint with Venus but no planets on either side of Taurus. Case of kemadruma yoga ?

Also what planet represents Hanuman in Ram's chart ? Is it Jupiter-6th house lord ?

On the occasion of Ram Navami tomorrow I ask this question - would we believe Ram is the great avatar - maryada purushottama if He did not have kemadruma yoga ? Is Kemadruma yoga a pointer to Advaitic consciousness or is it a curse in the material world ?

Do great avatars feel lonely in the material world or do they take strength in their Advaitic consciousness as exemplified by the discourse of Hamsa avatar in Srimad Bhagavatam - http://www.vedabase.com/en/sb/11/13/24 ?

Happy Ram Navami !

Few words on this auspicious day -

Hanuman's role in Ram's life - If 6th house represents service towards the master then notice how close the 6th house lord (Jupiter) exalted is with the ascendant lord Moon in it's own house in Cancer. Hanuman was a part of Lord Ram's consciousness.

Given the close conjunction between Jupiter and Moon how could He have felt kemadruma yoga even for argument's sake He was playing the pastimes of a ordinary human ?

Let us talk of siblings. Can the presence of a loving sibling(s) overcome the sense of loneliness one associates with kemadruma yoga ?

Third house lord Mercury in 11th house. Younger sibling Lakshman took over the reponsibility of Ram's welfare like a elder brother in vanvaasa. Another sibling Bharat spent fourteen years like a saadhu eschewing all luxuries. The key point is Mercury is not a friendly planet for Cancer ascendant but by it's placement and being unafflicted has given Ram a supreme sense of security.

Kindly note although Mercury is not exalted it is in the house of a friend and is completely unafflicted.

The presence of Ketu negates Kemadruma in case of Rama, As of Krishna Moon is alone in Taurus. Venus, Mars and Rahu are in Kataka (As per BV Raman and South Indian Astrologers) so it appears that Sri Krishna does have Kemadruma Yoga.

That in no way mars their greatness. Godheads like Rama and Krishna are above the theories of Astrology. Lord Krishna has Moon exalted in the Lagna in Rohini, he belongs to the chandravamsa and Rama belongs to Suryavamsa. Further it is said that the planets themselves are emanations of the incarnations of Vishnu (Ramavathara Suryasya, Chandrasya Yadunayakah, Nrusimho Bhumiputrasya…) Astrology applies to mundane mortals, not to Gods.

Can you quote the classical texts where it says Ketu negates Kemadrama yoga ?

I agree that astrology applies to mundane mortals and not to Gods. But when you are in the human plane of existence my understanding was that incarnations have to undergo human emotions/sufferings. I could be wrong but if I am could you quote a scripture that says the contrary ?

Actually kemadruma yoga of Ram and Krishn enhances their greatness and ratifies their Advaitic consciousness since birth - I alone exist and nothing else exists but Me.

From Vishnu sahasranama two names - Svadhrita and Adhrita - One who is self supported and one who is not dependent on anyone for anything.

In addition to Mercury(which rules the house of siblings) - exalted Mars the significator of siblings directly aspects Moon. Rama and siblings and Hanuman all part of Advaitic consciousness.

I don't know much about astrology but would still dare to give some logical input. Kemadruma essentially is a psychological state where loneliness is forced upon an individual. One may lose comforts of home many a times, become a loner void of intimate personal relationships.
If so, why assume that lord Rama did not have it? Was not he sent to vanvas? Did he not face vast changes in his lifestyle during vanvas? Did he not live without his wife most of his life? Ramayana would not be there if he did not have kemadruma. Kemadruma was the part and parcel of his life, played it's role in separations from family and wife. After defeating Ravan as well, he had to give up on his wife!
Same goes for lord Krishna. I don't know about his chart but if you deduct that he has a lone moon, then well, he parted ways from the love of his life, he lost his sons and died alone in a jungle! Through out his life he had been busy correcting the balances of society and basically sacrificed his personal life.
Like I read somewhere, kemadruma essentially negates the comforts one is born with. Evidently, he was born royal but in a prison, had to face separation from his father and mother and be adopted elsewhere.
Kemadruma has its own gifts. In return of suffering it bestows wisdom, sense of confidence in own capabilities and persistence.

Hi, kemadruma yoga takes place when moon is alone and 12th and 2nd houses from it are empty.
Therefore Shri rama did not have kemadruma yoga strictly speaking as jupiter is with moon on the asc.Bt Sri Krishna did have th kemadruma yoga.

And lord hanuman according to me is represented by Mars in sri rama's chart.
5th house is the house of followers. 6th house shows enemies and so jup shows Ravan and exalted shws that he's a great enemy.

Sri Krishna is the one who proclaimed :
Yaa Nishaa sarvabhoothanam Tasyaam jagartti samyami
Yasyaam jagrati bhoothaani saa nishaa pashyato muneh

[That which is darkness to all beings͵ in it the Yogi remains ever alert. That in which the world is awake and revels in͵ the Yogi sees as darkness ]

It is impossible for such a personality to feel lonely. He states his condition thus :

Yastvaatmaratireva syaad Atmatrptascha maanavah
Atmanyeva cha santushtah
Tasya karyam na vidyate

He who is revelling within himself͵ ever satisfied within himself͵ Ever self contained͵ He has no work to do in the world

Yo Antah sukho Antaraaramah
Tadha Antarjyotireva yah
Sa buddhimaan manushyeshu
Sa yuktah krtsna karmakrt

He who is happy within himself͵ who rejoices within himself͵ who gets light from within himself͵ is the truly wise One amongst men͵ he is the ideal performer of duties

Even Kemadruma finds tremendous positivity in Sri Krishna.

In Sri Rama‘s case the lord apparently did not choose a birth with Kemadruma. Through out his life͵ he had the strong support and companionship of his siblings. None of his separative decisions were forced; they were voluntarily chosen by him to illustrate dharma. Of the 14 yrs in Vanavasa he spent 13 yrs in the company of Seeta devi.

Though not related to Kemadruma͵ there is one interesting aspect related to the lives of these avataras. Neither of them could enjoy the sukha of playing with their children as toddlers. Sri Rama gets to see his children only after they had reached a certain age of maturity. Sri Krishna‘s is worser. According to the Mahabharata͵ he spends 12 years in intense Tapas in the Himalayas for propitiating lord Shiva and thus got a son as boon from him. The son thus born gets carried away soon after birth and Sri Krishna and Rukmini devi gets to see him only after he had reached the full bloom of youth. (Vide story of Pradyumna in the Harivamsa͵ Vishnupurana and Bhagavatha).

This is a case of putra-shoka carrying through generations and hence very interesting astrologically. The parents of these avataras had to suffer putra shoka even more intensely. King Dasharatha lost his life unable to bear the separation from his son͵ while Vasudeva and Devaki had no end to their sorrow for long periods of time.

Hi,

They do not have any Kemadruma Yoga. If one planet is in a kendra from Lagna this Yoga is not formed. Sri Rama had Jupiter, Mars and Saturn in kendra from Lagna. Sri Krishna had Saturn in kendra from Lagna. Kemadruma Yoga is a very rare Yoga, and you can count how many homeless or beggars are on the street in comparison with the people with a shelter. Those poor men has Kemadruma Yogas as that formed from Moon or Kemadruma Yoga formed by malefics in 2nd and 8th from Lagna, AL and Navamsa Lagna etc.
Almost every classic in astrology gives this rule (and many other rules) for the cancellation of Kemadruma Yoga formed by the Moon.
