Hi,

I have often read that Ketu corresponds to Fish incarnation of Lord Vishnu (Matsyavatar) -- Pisces is also symbol of fish. So that way Ketu seems to have strong bond with Pisces and we know Pisces is Mooltrikona sign for Ketu. Also, another connection between Ketu and Pisces is that the planet Ketu as well as the sign Pisces, both represent spirituality (they both are mokshakaraka). Now lets say for someone Ketu is in Pisces, and to make it more interesting lets place them in the sign which too represents moksha (universal exit) which is 12th sign. So how will Ketu behave here? Will it behave in expected obvious manner as one would expect as all the 3 entities (the planet, the sign and the house) with similar karataktva come together? Or something else happens?

The concept of Ketu in 12th suggesting spirituality never made sense to me. If Ketu is detachment and 12th house is also detachment, shouldn't this combination suggest detachment from detachment and a tendency for conflicts or confrontation since Rahu is happy in the 6th? Furthermore if this occurs in the Pisces Virgo axis respectively, shouldnt the process of detachment in 12th and attachment in 6th become even more effortless since the nodes are in rashis that make them at ease. I say this because I have read that Ketu in the opposite to Pisces, Virgo, has a difficult time detaching from practical details or Virgo qualities. Similarly if Ketu is in Pisces, shouldn't it have an easy time detaching from spiritual thoughts or Pisces qualities? The general census says no, but something still doesn't feel right. Maybe I would feel better thinking of Rahu Ketu as one overall demonic entity shedding its effects on the entire axis. But then again, does a headless Ketu aspect? Gosh the questions never end. If you thought I came to answer your question, LOL No! I just added five more on top of it ... hehe, thats my rahu working today :D :D :D

Anyways, Buhbyessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Dear ddd,

Interesting question!

a) The dictum kuja-vata ketu would indicate ketu being similar to mars and as you perhaps know has been associated with rulership of vrishchika rashi.

b) Ketu has been claimed to be mokshakaraka just as the 12th has been considered by some as moksha-sthana. If "karako bhav-nashaya" is valid, would ketu not destroy moksha-laabh by virtue of being the karaka...?

Crystalpages ji, isn't Shri Rama supposed to have Ketu in 12th and hence attained moksha ?

Dear parijataka

According to BPHS Shri rama's incarnation was endowed with only paramatmamsa.
As for the question above regarding ketu & 12th house When we say house which reference are we considering is important . If its the janma lagna (which represents our physical body) the 12th house represents our feet and so does pisces among hundreds of other things ofcourse. so ketu which also represents our mistakes coz ketu is headless can show in its dasha we make some mistake and hurt out feet and get hospitalized . similarly 12th from Moon can show giving up on our emotional attachments towards some of the subconscious thoughts . From sun it can show giving up of ego that is hidden which most of us may not even realise its there coz 12th house is hidden and sun represents our ego.
Therefore 12th from atmakaraka (which is your soul) leads to liberation of soul and attain moksha.
But should it be seen from rashi chart or D9 chart which is also the chart of dharma or from D20 chart of religion and spirituality is unclear.
