Hello Gurus,

Here's my Birth Details 09/11/90 1:50 pm Cuddapah, Andhra Pradesh, India
What could be my D-60 chart Lagna? Gemini or Cancer and is Rahu/Ketu axis in the signs of Taurus/Scorpio or Aries/Libra? BTW my main question here is in which field of computer science will I pursue my career in this life?
I have both Bachelors as well as Masters degree in CSE and my interests are in (1) Game Development and Graphics Designing for Games [ PC or Console ] been my dream since childhood (2) Networking Technologies or in general Computer Network Engineering.

Thanks, I would like to know according to my planetary placements what sort of a Career would be the right one for me and the one in store for this life in order to meet my soul's needs. I'm pretty confused in this time as struggles are on and on.. never ending hence, I'm desperate to know what's in store for me. I do have some knowledge in Astrology but that seems to be insufficient in pointing out the reasons and pin point to decisions or confirm the presence of such events.

Can anyone please look into my chart? I don't really understand which career will it be with the 10th lord Mars being retrograde and sitting in the 4th house in the sign of Taurus ruled by Venus sitting in its own sign of Libra in the 9th house in close conjunction with debilitated 7th lord Sun. Mercury in the sign of Scorpio and sitting in 10th house aspects my career lord. Aquarius ascendant in the Nakshatra of Shatabisha whose ruler Rahu sits in the 12th house and aspects my 10th house. Ascendant lord Saturn sits in the sign of Jupiter in 11th house of gains whose sign ruler is exalted in Cancer and in conjunction with both Moon and Ketu.

Now if I see in the D-10 chart which can actually give some more information about karma there is the sign of Pisces in 10th house aspected by both Moon and Jupiter from 4th house. Gemini ascendant has Venus sitting there and rules 5th and 12th houses. Ascendant lord Mercury sits in 3rd house in the sign of Leo and conjunct by Saturn which is the Ascendant lord in D-1 chart.

Any clues from here as to what I can do to sustain a living? I meant which career would it be that shapes my life..

Aquarius ascendant - raja yoga karaka - Venus in it's own house in Libra along with Sun 7th lord.

Raja yogam in 9th house - kendra house lord and trikona lord in trikona house. Venus could give you great graphical programming skills alone. In fact any kind of artistic talent. Plus it is coupled to the house of fortune.

To me - Mars is the engineering planet - aspects it's own house of career. But is retrograde. Career roadblocks will come but you just have to keep on enhancing your technical knowledge. Mercury 5th house lord is in the 10th house but it rules the dushtana 8th house. So ups and downs expected.

Ashlesha can be a difficult nakshatra to navigate for the moon but you have exalted Jupiter in it. The problem is Jupiter is also in Ashlesha. But it does throw a glance at the 10th house.
Stay away from trends in the computer industry. What I mean by that - don't go by what are "hot" skills in the market. Come to your own decision what is best for you. The Rahu ketu axis may force many hot and cutting edge technologies in your career path but stay firm on your choice.

Thank you Sir, for the response. I'm glad you have answered some of my queries. I never knew ashlesha nakshatra would influence my career. Of course it's nakshatra Lord Mercury is sitting in 10th house and is the ruler of ascendant in d-10, so there may be some influence. What would you recommend me to do? I'm into a popular Indian MNC which recruits a large chunk of fresh engineering graduates every year and after the corporate I'm struggling to find an allocation into a decent project. Based on my secondary interests I have begun completing certifications on networking and also been assigned to an outsourced project in a client location which is none other than the leading networking giant across the world. Sadly, due to ill-luck the requirements were called off and I have lost the opportunity. Now I'm trying to get back the same project and doing further while standing firm on my decision and rejecting other lower grade projects and this is quite troubling me because I'm not getting the work or the job that I would enjoy doing or matching my interests.

What would be the final decision regarding my carreer in the computing world? Graphics programming or network engineering or will my fate decide something else for me. Currently I'm running Venus-Mars Mahadasha and I'm also hoping that I would travel abroad for work very soon after I'm landed with a job that pays well.

Yes there is a probability that you will go abroad in your chart. 7th house lord is in 9th house. Sun is debilitated so I cant say how well you will do abroad. Plus Rahu in 12th house.

I would say pursue graphical programming as a hobby(side project or whatever). Pursue network engineering as a career. Mars - Mercury opposition(technical/communication) should help in that regard.

Currently transiting mars aspects your natal mars in the 10th house. So wait till September 2016 till things clear.

I think you would do well in a startup as well if you can handle learning on your own and show leadership. But the sun being debilitated may cause loss of confidence or loss of face.
As I said earlier stay away from hot skills on the market. Just because everyone is into big data you don't have to do acquire it.

Yes thank you very much for clearing my confusion. I used the same logic and method to analyse my chart too. Regarding foreign travel, other astrologers have told me the same that there is a good chance to work in abroad until Venus mahadasha ends. Not that I had never been to abroad before, during my Mercury mahadasha as a child I had travelled to various countries for vacation but I can't clearly say whether it was due to my own Dasha during the time or was it my parents.

I clearly have an interest in graphics programming, animation and design but as my studies unfolded I could never learn them or pursue them to build my technical skills for a career. Mars-Mercury axis is right Scorpio sign for 10th house and career Lord sitting in Taurus could mean a monitoring job when triggered which is almost the same thing I'm doing now at work i.e Solving issues and this somehow correlates with my ascendant nakshatra being satabhisha who are good problem solvers and detectives.

I was trying to get into cloud computing and big data as these are the new technologies to invest for the future. I'm not clearly convinced though in working with big data but alright with cloud computing because there is networking involved in it as promoted by the networking giant with whom I would love to begin my career.

Looking at debilitation of Sun in my chart well yes it is in Libra at 22 degrees but the same is exalted in my navamsa if that could help. It again rules the 7th house and Mercury is in Leo. Will this help me gain leadership qualities and self esteem at workplace.

Regarding your question about the Sun - here is how I see debilitated planets for myself(and I have one in my chart as well).

This is what I tell myself. I have been given a set of karmas to work on, to improve myself in this lifetime. If I have a debilitated planet I do not look to see if it is exalted or vargottamma in the divisional charts. I accept it as part of my destiny that I must work on and not get depressed about it. Even if it is exalted in the divisional chart there will be periods when you will go through doubts and challenges in life. How you handle this defines who you are. If you are a leader people will look towards you and look up to you during their periods of doubt and for the resolution of their problems.

Positions of the planets are a reflection of some past karmas. You should go deeper.

Yeah right! It makes us feel more conscious regarding that debilitated planet or a particular house in our lives. I had learnt that navamsa chart shows the real strength of planets. Even though they are debilitated in the natal chart but as time progresses especially after the first Saturn return you will feel more inclined towards it's behaviour from the navamsa chart. At least at the inside point of view you will feel more confident than before in this case of having a debilitated Sun. Like you said, everyone wants to improve and overcome their weaknesses. Some find success in doing so while others feel it's near to impossible. Therefore, I think this is one way to understand some of these things regarding exalted and debilitated planets.

Are you sure I'll work in networking only for the first half of my career i.e 10-15 years. Right now I'm a fresher and have newly joined an MNC. I was given a chance to begin with networking but due to bad luck the project was called off. I'm now receiving all offers except for networking. I'm madly interested in networking compared to other domains that this IT company offers to Freshers. Please guide me and clear my doubts of whether my career would remain void until 32 years or will it lead me to become expertise in one particular domain so that my career would be stable.

Libra ascendant and a full moon birth. Sun exalted. 10th house Lord Moon in 1st house. Was Computer Science your first choice or would you rather do something else ?

Ascendant lord is exalted but placed with a fallen 9th house lord - Mercury. So networking is definitely a Mercury profession and placed with Venus you would do well. It would be good to strengthen Mercury.

I see security as a Saturn , Mars profession. So Saturn yogakaraka in it's own house and aspecting the 10th house.
Saturn aspects 10th house, 10th house lord and ascendant lord.

Mars a technical planet is hemmed in by Saturn and Venus and aspected by Jupiter (good for logical thinking)


Jupiter daasha and Jupiter is in 11th house but retrograde

I think this field is seen from good placements of planets in either Scorpio sign, Aquarius sign or their nakshatras like Satabisha. Having Mars and Mercury as their career lords or influence them should also be great. Virgo should probably work too. People with a mix of air+water may find a chance in general. See if you have these influences in your chart and later predict.

Strengthen the 9th house lord - Mercury. That would certainly help. It is conjoint to your ascendant lord Venus. Luck is related to 9th house.

You could also strengthen moon afterwards.

How do you strengthen the planets lol. Also why don't you look at the navamsa chart and the dasamsa chart for career prospects and to know the exact profession one would choose. Once you look at them for the first time it could completely not sync with the birth chart. As you know the divisional charts are more important and reveal the magnified clues pertaining to that person.

Regarding dasamsa and navamsha - for that you need to have exact birth times.

If you really want a full reading(which can be fairly exhausting) then you need to ask under paid readings.

Lol I once paid 8k or more to an outside astrologer who only looked at my birth and navamsa chart to explain the things and also used the Prashna technique once when we had asked me to throw shells on the table. Well yeah most of these astrologers don't do complete reading. So most of the times the stuff they tell by simply looking at the birth charts and their Mahadashas will only be half complete even though they have written 20 pages report and submitted to us. As to remedies some say wear gemstones on your ring while others tell we'll do puja and just pay us the money.

For you I wont recommend wearing gemstone. You have an exalted planet, two planets in own houses.

I am not going to charge 8k or even 4k or even a k. But no harm in asking them to do puja either.

But the best way to bring about change is to tackle the karma yourself. Challenge yourself in areas which are weak.
The ego maybe "bruised" in the process but you must have the courage to hold firm.

Do the hard work-enhance your skills. Personality changes do not happen overnight. They take time but given determination and steadiness you can see tangible change.

Although my primary interests lie in coding graphics for games and programming them to work. Any other choices for me? I feel computer field is very competitive and being difficult to survive.

Sir, could I please know what's happening in my life now with regards to career. Lots of unexpected events are happening. It's like at one time there is a lot of luck and treasure or dreams are right in front of my eyes available for me to catch hold of and in real world terms they are pretty much happening. But to catch those dreams there is an ocean of an obstacle that hits me. What to do? Why is my life always going in this direction. Always difficult to accomplish important achievements and tasks due to some odd omen that would occur right in front and prepare me to ride the wave again.
