What is the purpose of a delayed marriage?

This question is odd to me, though it is understandable, assuming the one holds that idea that delay/prohibition of either a perceived entitlement or desire is intended to occur in order to .... I will use the word "refine"... a person (whether materially or spiritually).
It is my belief that this is a question originating based on incorrect logic.
The 'common' Asian/India thought (this is not an acknowledgment whether it is correct or not) the idea of delays, troubles, lack of manifestation of wants/needs, is the direct result of personal 'karma', presumably from a former life. In Western thought, this interpretation of 'karma' is that "what goes around, comes around" "you reap what you sow" etc.
(My take is that it is not personalized, since the prevailing belief is that there is no separation, the befalling of good/bad effects occur in a much more universal form.)
There is also this concept that exists that the troubles and delays/lack that people experience holds the cosmic purpose of "bettering" a person/soul ... "growing their ____", etc. This is common to Westerners that invested into Asian belief systems and modified it to suit cultural concepts. '
The concept that you seek clarity to is whether or not there is purpose --- presumably, cosmically --- for the delay in a romantic, marriage oriented partner.
It could be a simple answer that the manifested design (you) was intended to proceed as it is. The coordination of events on earth require it. It is predicted from the Design (your horoscope) for (maybe) no other purpose than the 'layout' coordinated the way that it did.
My mother, who has pursued so many different belief systems and eventually became a new age minister or a popular formal church, does not enjoy the above statement. I, myself, assure you that I would have more to 'cry foul' about than most in this regard. It just is what it is. If intended, it will occur when the time is right.
Shakespeare was right, 'all the world is a stage, and we are merely players.'
When the playwright determines, the story will unfold as it should. Your horoscope may be interpreted to allow you advance notice of what the action is for you 'character'. This should provide you relief, regardless of the turnout, by relieving wonder of what to expect.

Thank you for taking the time to explain you views so thoughtfully. I understand the value of acceptance, but being flawed and frustrated I was resisting what is.
I realise now that there will never be a concrete answer as to why - I just have to allow the play to proceed.
