General astrology has it that the sign of Taurus rules the neck region, and thus the voice. Well placed planets in Taurus could signify vocal talent, however it doesn't always turn out that way. Speech or voice is attributed to the second house, sometimes I've read third, so does that mean having creative planets such as Venus/Jupiter well placed in the second bestows a pleasant voice, and in extension singing talent?
The 3rd house is for courage and hobbies. Having creative planets in the third house doesn't narrow down on musical talent. There could be creative hobbies of other sorts with well placed planets in this house.
The 5th house is creativity and performing arts in general. I believe dancing talent is more attributed to the 5th house than vocals. Correct me if I am wrong.
7th house is other people, so 7th to the 5th house is the 11th house. Does the 11th house then signify stage performances? 11th house is also of social connections. There are many talented dancers/singers who never perform for other people. So surely positivity of the 11th house is not a requirement either.
Venus has a lot to do with this.
So then what are some indicators of musical pursuits, namely singing and dancing. Becoming famous from a musical talent would likely require more positivity in the chart. But is there a way to detect musical talent within the charts of ordinary people? Any pattern that you might have noticed between the charts of singers/dancers? Also which rashis are associated with musical pursuit. Water signs? Taurus? Sagittarius even?
