My experience with rahu..now that I look back was preetty good...except for the mental stress...which I feel even now in jupiter md...rahu gave me confidence, a lot of obsession to improve, materialistic.gains , used to feel lively...though now at the start of jup md...feel absolutely detained, drained off... am in retrograde myself.. Lol...When I was in rahu md I felt like I was on chemotherapy ...and was awaiting jupiter but this looks no better.
Would like to know other peoples experiences....does everyone go through this

I have a Saggi placed Rahu (moving into Scorpio in my bhava chart), the second half was more eventful and better as compared to the earlier half. In fact, the MD of Rahu and AD of Moon (8th lord!) was the best period of my adult life thus far. I spoilt it by getting married around the period when my Jupiter MD started 
Jupiter being my lagna and 4th lord, I thought it would be a fairly satisfactory period.

Hii all,
I have my Raahu in Aries as 12 placement for Taurus ascendent. It started at my 17th year, now its been almost 11 years over, So when i see the overall years so far, I have experienced tremendous mental stress, Sudden and frequent changes, emotional hickups, Court Cases,not a satisfactory and stable job, loss in businesses, But also it gives me foreign travel, friends, little bit of enjoyments.
I felt like i was caged , i was unable to think on my own. My life is entirely based on the situations revolving around me.But it spiritual power to withstand any situation. Its gives at times no confidence in all your endeavours.
May be you ppl can think, I am just writing the negative which had happened in life, yeah i agree but the pressure and stress i felt is the one i want to forgot in my life.
Now i am gonna enter my 12 th year of Raahu MD, now in kethu bhukthi now i started realising my true potential and my weakness, my strenghts and my bad decisions. I am sprituality has increased a lot.Thats the one thing i say a positive point in this dasha.

Rahu being malefic in nature can never ever give u 100% positive results.... If it gives u during its mahadasha just be prepared for the negative consequences as well.... As it always take something in return ... It can be anything ...... And this is the difference between rahu and benefic planets like jupiter which provides u with all luxuries in life but never takes anything In return......
Rahu mahadasha if bad gives u mental agony, stress, anxiety attacks. The beauty of rahu is u know it's all illusion but still rahu makes it look or feel so real that a native falls in its trap.... The native under rahu mahadasha keeps oscillating between mood swings.... The main question that keeps stinging ur mind is 'what if'..... Firstly rahu will makes u think something negative and even if u convince ur self that the particular thing is not possible .... Still u will keep questioning urself.... 'What if' that happens or this happens?????
The worst results of rahu mahadasha u will see is the last 5 or 4 years when everything given to u by rahu mahadasha will be taken back once u become used to it which is the most painful part.... This is my personal experience .... Now waiting for jupiter mahadasha which will be starting In 2 months....

The best example i can think of rahu mahadasha is dhirubhai ambani and sunil gavaskar when they reached their peak performance.
Rahu being really strong in MY horoscope produced heavy malefic results....it was like my enemy who has gained power....because rahu in third house in taurus is the best placement you can have but the things that went wrong was rahu sitting with moon which created unstable emotional responses in my body like a paranoid.
so basically when you see a planet sitting in a horoscope five things are taken into consideration:
1.house in which planet is sitting
2.sign in which planet is sitting
3.nakshtra in which planet is sitting
4.degree at which planet is sitting
5.conjunction and aspect on the planet
now in my case rahu was good as far as house and sign is considered but when it comes to nakshtra it was rohihni (which was bad) and when it comes to conjunction rahu was sitting with moon (worse) as a result rahu energy was wasted in the fight between rahu and moon.I almost became depressed and stressed in my rahu mahadasha but what prevented me to be completely out of my mind was that moon is also exalted(in taurus) and the degree difference between rahu and moon is 7 degrees. Has it been lesser it could have been worse or more degree difference could have been much better.

A question: Why do people tend to over-accuse Rahu MD with regards to instability, illusions, stress, negativity?
I find it difficult to agree that Rahu always does bad. Also that Rahu snatches away everything at the end.
As, it has been in my case, Jupiter MD has been depleting everything I obtained in my Rahu MD.
Also, I would like to reiterate that Rahu in 10th house (in natal chart, as in my chart) is not a bad placement career-wise. My very first job was abroad and with a good salary.
I completed all of my higher education : graduation, MBA and MS all in Rahu period..and all with a First Class from good institutes. So, were they illusions?
Isn't it unfair that if something good happens in Rahu MD, astrologers tend to connect it with other planetary placements and transits and ignoring benefic Rahu..and blaming Rahu MD when something goes haywire?
It's Jupiter that ruined me. Not Rahu. I think, it's high time to cease 'conveniently' blaming Rahu for misfortunes..rather looking for the real culprit in the native's chart!

Last few years I am in debt trap, practicing advocate, but today hardly any practice, lost money, time during last few years, especially since 2003, and during Mars Mahadasha I have to sale land in 2008, a ancestal flat in 2012, and still debt is there so may be to dispose off the only property, to clear the debts.
How will be my Rahu Mahadasha, my humble request please please guide me.
