Usually people (myself included) agree that fate will be fate, the baby will come when he/she's meant to arrive, and us trying to force a birthtime often never works and the baby comes at it's own chosen time anyway.
But at a glance I will say, march 2nd or 3rd at a time when the lagna would be Cancer , looks good.
(those days because moon is also in cancer with Jupiter, jupiter aspcting 4-11-5-10th lord in 9th ven/mars...rahu in 3rd... just the most positive things at that time.).
I'm not sure which time that is for you, as no idea of your location... But you (or another member) can figure it out, select times on those days march 2-3 when moon's in cancer, and find which hour(s) create cancer ascendant.
But really I'd say don't worry about it, there's positive+negative placements at all times on all days for everyone (pretty much)
Though it might help astrologers decide which time is "best" if we knew what is most important to you, I mean, there are times when career prospects looks much better than family/marriage for the chart , others with less raj/dhan yogas but looks to have more peace / family/friend happiness, etc..
Anyway, if we had to choose, I'd still go with cancer rising as it's tough to trump moon+jup in ascendant with yogakaraka in 9th with exalted 4+11 lord venus
and looking at it from Dasha, sure there might be saturn dasha at birth(fine as it's aspected by jupiter and in nakshatra of jup who is exalted) , or mercury dasha if born in Ashlesha (okay still, aspected by mo-jup+ strong in kendra ),
then the child gets Ketu - who is involved with the raj/dhan yogas in 9th house, right in their early prime(good I believe for education, don't fear it just because it's ketu), followed by Venus - exalted planet conjunct yogakaraka in 9th, aspected by jupiter during the core of their life like around age 25-29 until 50ish. Amazing 20 years.
then sun for a bit...but a great older age with Moon(1-9 raj yoga+gaja kesari) then yogakaraka mars dasha back to back.
of course we won't know the navamsa and other varga's before the birth (and shouldn't...as it's going too deep into things, trying to play God..)

Dear GNE,
I am really happy to see such a detail response. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
As per your suggestion, cancer ascendent looks really good and promising. Does sun(slight problems in his dasha are i think ok) being in 8th house, causes any problem related to longevity?
And also, does mercury being 3rd and 12th lord in 7th house cause any marriage hurdles/ problems in 7th house related things or is it ok since it is aspected by strong moon-jup?
I am a mesha rising and my wife is tula rising, do we have to consider even this, for concluding the time?
Please also suggest alternate rising(birth time) for current transit.
Thanks

I did see the sun issue, but figured the good outweighed it. As every other ascendant had a good share of "negative" too, more than cancer I thought. (without going deep into divisional charts).
Sun becomes quite the maraka, but longevity is seen from much more than just what 2-8-7+sometimes 12th lords are doing.
Things like having 2 great benefics in kendra can help with long life, and 8th lord aspected by jupiter to some degree can help.
We'd have to see what else sun is doing in d30 and other charts that can show issues related to life/death.
mercury in 7 would cause some marriage hurdles I figure, but the chart would have gone through mercury MD early enough on that I didn't think it mattered much, would be (most likely) in ketu who's with venus+yogakaraka in 9th, during the "marriage ages"...or even venus MD if marrying a bit later, which is exalted and looking good.
Also, things depend on if the chart ends up male or female...female has jupiter (husband karaka) exalted with lagna lord+best friend moon in ascendant, and aspecting "blessing" the 7th house...
my aunt is cancer lagna with mercury + sun in 7th (aspected by nothing else), she was married in saturn MD around age 27 and is now 57 and still married, no divorce, no major issues in marriage.
Your ascendant falling in cancer's 10th house aries is great I'd think - especially since you're the father,
and wife in 4th house of mother. seems very fitting.
things like where your ascendant is from the childs sun/moon aren't really changable since the birth date will likely be around march 2-5 anyway like you said, only moon would change....but in my opinion it's better to give the person cancer moon conjunct jupiter , than moon in leo just because it might trine your ascendant or something better with you/mothers chart.
When you ask for alternate rising times for "current" transit...you mean for dates before early march?
because if the birth is to be around march 1-4, then I vote on march 2-3 when moon's in cancer.
As for other ascendants around that time,
each one has something I can imagine you being worried about , understandably so.
Though like I said in my first post, no one's chart has every single planet well placed at a glance.
Imagine the panic one in your position might have had if asking for a birthtime and the chart that it ended up as looked like amitabh bachchan's with the stack of planets in 8th, and things combust.
Yet we know how that turned out..
When looking at potential charts for your child, I am careful to check position of Mahadasha planet lords.
What I mean is, we could pick a time that may look great for certain placements, but they are planets who's dasha the child will not live to see...unless they live past age 90+.
So it's better to pick ones that have great looking dasha in the prime, around age 25-55 or so I feel. Along with the chart also being generally positive overall on it's own.
This is why I went with cancer rising here, as looks good for the most part when looking at placements and yogas,
but also for dasha, from ketu+venus, 27ish years of wonderful raj/dhan yoga activations, then sure...sun is a super maraka here, but it's short and I feel it will only kill if short longevity is promised, which it doesn't seem that way to me. But then after sun, back to back moon+mars are the kinds of dasha people would kill for (not literally. I mean just they'd really wish they can have such dasha - lagna lord with 9th lord in lagna/own sign,etc.. and yogakaraka in raj yogas in the 9th house in a friends sign...)
since most likely the birth will take place in Saturn or possibly mercury MD.... slim chance of the end of Jupiter MD perhaps too.... we should judge mostly mercury-ketu-venus periods since that will do the most to the person , as happening during their prime "starting career / getting married / trying to make something of themselves" time in life.
since ketu is conjunct venus+mars, it will give similar results of venus MD right after it. So for ease of judgement we just need to get that pile of planets into a good position and with a good ascendant where they are not too evil.
Yes venus is badhak for cancer lagna, but astrologers I've spoken too aswell as myself I believe that isn't much of an issue at all especially when overall venus is well placed like being exalted in 9th (a raj yoga on it's own), 4th lord conjunct 5+10th lord... and so on.
Venus and mars combination is also pretty good for Leo lagna, but then they are in the 8th for that... so doesn't get my vote.
Gemini lagna, they are in 10th but mars is "evil" for that lagna unless in aries (I believe) and worse being lagna lord mercury then is in the 8th, no "no vote"
Taurus lagna, not the most friendly combination venus+mars+ketu in this case though in 11th and lagna lord exalted, and yogakaraka saturn with dig bala in 7th...4th lord sun in 10th...so taurus get a "yes" potential vote. (among other reasons, I just don't want to keep typing too much

Lova made me split the message in two, as was too long.
part II :
Aries okay but lagna lord + the venus/mars combination is in 12th house, not ideal if you have the power to choose the lagna for the birth here.
Pisces, I've read in this case one does not want venus exalted in lagna as it's pure malefic for this lagna. mars also though 9th lord , is a maraka along with venus here...in lagna..not ideal together.
but LL is in 5th with 5th lord, aspecting lagna, which helps a lot. thats also 10th lord in 5 with 5th lord...
and venus in lagna, I feel could still do a fair share of good...
sun in 12 but here its a vipareeta raj yoga... and 11th lord in 9th helps with some wealth.... but rahu in 7th, mars in ascendant... marriage issues are likely, 7th lord in 11th could bring many partners, anyway my guess based on what you asked in the previous message is, you'd like to pass on this lagna. Though if the child wants to come at a pisces lagna time it's not so bad
Aquarius, venus/mars is a raj yoga combination, though some classics say they don't form a raj yoga for this ascendant when together....but I can't understand why, it's yogakaraka with 10th lord. so c'mon. ha
venus exalted in 2nd is great,
sun becomes a maraka once again though as 7th lord right on the ascendant during it's dasha.
and I'm not the biggest fan of 2+11th lord jupiter with 6th lord moon in 6th here..
lagna lord in 10 is nice...but is also saturn in 10 in general, it's fine I guess...overall this lagna is okay if you have the power to choose, but if you can I'd pick another. Mercury is 8th lord in 12th, VRY close to birth...but the child will have many maraka dasha in their time...lots of 2nd+7th house influence for many years.
capricorn....malefic house lord jupiter in 7th with 7th lord could bring issues in romance, and 6th lord in lagna..
yogakaraka in 3rd, great if wanting to be an actor/artist, but who knows..overall, I'd pass on this one, as sun becomes maraka even more once again since is 8th lord in 2nd.
Though the dasha's of ketu-venus could make the child a success in some creative field,
Sag lagna, ...lagna lord in 8th with 8th lord...malefic 6+11 lord in 4... there's more, but no point going on when you'll want to pass on this one. understandably
scorpio lagna, saturn in ascendant but aspected from benefic Jupiter from 9th.
jup+moon raj/dhan yoga in 9th is great, and child runs MD of planets in 5th, in raj yogas during prime of life.
then 10th lord sun in 4th, which is good. rahu in 11th , great placement for it.
I guess I didn't look enough at this one, but overall it gets my 2nd place vote right after cancer lagna. Best is the child gets Arudha Lagna in 9th with both moon/jup in it! wonderful...and many classics say this is a massive fame potential placement.
Libra lagna,
birth during yogakaraka MD like taurus... but aspected by malefic(for the lagna) jupiter, though thats not so bad.
what isn't great though is lagna lord in 6th with maraka planet mars + with ketu...and those dasha's during prime of life.
so, gets a "no" vote from me
Virgo lagna,
rahu in lagna with ket/ven/mars(3+8th lord..) in 7th..not the best for marriage ...
has it's good placements too ..it's not bad at all unless you are giving more importance to married life of the child.
So, get a "neutral" vote from me for your case.
Main MD would be of planets in 7th for the longest time, will likely get married, even early on is possible, but even higher chance of not being happily married / having a wandering eye/heart ..
and then we're back at leo/cancer which I spoke of already.
so in the end the votes:
cancer lagna...if not then (in order "best vote" to least) :
scorpio
pisces / taurus
aries
aquarius / virgo(if okay with potential "playboy" type. ha..maybe. of course we'll see navamsa..)
capricorn
the rest.

First off, congratulations! Great blessing for you having a child / son.
Second, it seems the baby came when he wanted
I mean, feb 28... as supposed to around the predicted date of march 4-5. Proves once again fate/God/the childs soul itself always has it's way over our intervention.
Happens when it's meant to happen.
As for getting into a detail interpretation, I would recommend asking a more senior learned member. Going into detail interpretation isn't really what I do , especially with newborn baby charts. Usually I focus on solving specific problems that one is having in their life. Like if they ask about some specific issue. ...or finding out about a person's path or personality disorders and other things that can only really be spoken about when the person is an adult (or at least 14-16 in my opinion...some say after age 7...some ay age 12...)
But also I'm still learning too (though I guess we all are...since gurus say astrology takes many lifetimes to master)
What I am saying though is there are much more learned members, especially for the sort of general reading you're asking for, that can give you better information (and more accurate most likely) then I can.
I would recommend focusing on the positive in the chart first though, since the child is "new", we don't want to start with putting negative thoughts towards them and focusing on potential problems that might develop when they're 20 years old or whatever age. (I'm not saying there are any problems at age 20... I just picked that age as an example).
Exalted venus, with it's dispositor jupiter also exalted is good, it is also aspected by it's lord jupiter making it stronger/more positive.
Jupiter aspect on saturn is nice and can often help make saturn a bit more gentle on the person
saturn aspects mercury, though it's in saturn's own sign so the aspect is generally positive too. May have deliberate slower thinking, but very intelligent (especially if I have the correct lagna and it's Virgo...mercury as ascendant lord in 5th, aspected by jupiter and fifth lord is wonderful for intellect..)
Rahu is "exalted" (by many beliefs) and he is born in that dasha, rahu's dispositor mercury in a good place like I said,
and rahu nakshatra lord is Moon, who is in the 10th, which is always a good house (even though it's opposite moon's favorite house the 4th). Rahu is only a few more years, (plus early life is generally more tied to what the dasha/karma of the parents are, not the childs chart).
Then exalted jupiter dasha....debilitated in navamsa, but thats okay I think since it will be during the ages where your son will be still too young to really care or need to get married anyway (not ideal to marry during debilitated navamsa planets periods I've been told). But he'll still only be a teenager anyway, plus jupiter does get a Neecha bhanga(potential raj yoga) in navamsa with it's dispositor saturn exalted+in kendra, so it's nothing to fear especially since like I said, its coming early on in life where navamsa isn't doing too much (as suppose to if the jupiter MD was in his 20's or 30's)..

But he'll still only be a teenager anyway, plus jupiter does get a Neecha bhanga(potential raj yoga) in navamsa with it's dispositor saturn exalted+in kendra, so it's nothing to fear especially since like I said, its coming early on in life where navamsa isn't doing too much (as suppose to if the jupiter MD was in his 20's or 30's)..
then moving into Saturn, exalted now in navamsa - at the right time in life(through 20-30's) should help marriage,
and in rasi , sure it's in enemy sign but thats not too bad (many share the same thing, as sat stays in a sign so long), it's nakshatra lord is exalted rahu (in ascendant...if my birth time-zone details are correct...) which is a good place for a nakshatra lord.
Saturn in 3rd is usually praised by many, especially when it's alone...which it is. And gets jupiters blessing. so he'll surely succeed in work , after lots of self efforts. Could get into business or start his own job/company or something like that. Saturn in 3rd + strong planets in 7th help with this.
Saturn is exalted again in D10 chart, so 99% certain on top of everything else, it will be a fine time for him and great professionally.
then mercury dasha , even better pretty much, as is lagna lord in 5th, in mutual aspect to jupiter, and aspected by 5th lord, plus in nakshatra of moon who's in mercury's sign in the 10th "best" house.
Debilitated in dasamsa, but gets a Neecha Bhanga, aspected/kendra from jupiter + also in kendra from moon (and possible kendra from lagna too, if birth time tweaks or my time zone is off a bit).
I've done lots of research on dasamsa, as career's probably my favorite topic, and I've read (and was told from a high rated astrologer) that debilitated planets with NB in d10 could actually bring a spectacular rise in profession...might be troubles at first, but well, it's a long story why...basically debilitated is generally fine for profession/material life, but not so much on personal or health, BUT in dasama, since it's pretty much only about profession related things, it's fine.
Don't worry, I have articles downloaded from the site here, and more of my own research of celebrities who rose even higher during debilitated planets in D10.
But rasi is still always #1, and in rasi his mercury is well placed. So good period overall anyway.
then into Ketu Dasha, which is involved with venus and mars, also again aspected by jupiter. Lots to look into here, as so much is being "absorbed" by ketu , so the effects of ketu aren't as easy to spot quickly. But this is around the year 2068, which is far enough away not to worry about and instead have your son get a truer astrology reading later in his life (like age 30 or something) where an astrologer can make better predictions on ketu+other future dasha based off of what your son's doing in life at the time (around age 30 or so) .... since based also on his free will choices he makes growing up ,and what career line he went in to, possible results of dashas would change.
But anyway, my point is, these initial years + into his prime, age 30-ish onwards, looks like it has a lot of potential.
He has mercury in Karakamsa and it's well placed by sign + aspect I feel.
The classic text says about that: "Should strong Mercury be in Karakamsa, he will be skillful in arts and trading, be intelligent, and educated. "
Of course we must look at everything else...but to have mer in karakamsa + mercury as lagna lord in 5th, in mutual aspect to jupiter, aspected by 5th lord...plus 4+9th lords exalted...let alone venus exalted aspecting ascendant...
that sloka is even more likely to be true about him.
unless he's not virgo lagna and my program has the wrong timezone...
he'll still have mercury in karakamsa, but I'd have to re-check everything else.
BUT I feel it's best then that you ask senior members, or get an astrologer you trust in real life (if able..if not, then no problem) to give you more in depth details if that is what you like.
Or best to wait until your son is a bit older, and starting to come into being his own person more (like age 12+) where you can see potential skills he might have, or personality traits, things that worry you ,etc.. that you can then ask more specifically about.
But I understand our desire to know as much as we can right away! I did the same when my cousin had a baby a few months ago (checked the childs chart for my own curiosity, even though I tried to tell myself not too.
)
Much blessings to you and your family!

Dear GNE,
Thanks a lot for shedding light on the horoscope. I really appriciate details you covered in the thread.
Yes, you are right about lagna i.e. Virgo lagna. Thanks for covering so many positive aspects of horoscope.
I am bit worried about mars being 3rd and 8th house lord aspecting lagna. What is the impact of this?
Also as per jaimini system, Rahu is avayogi and ketu is yogi. Does rahu in lagna create problems? please give some more details one this.
Please let me know the ayanamsa setting you are using.
Thanks
