Hi Learned Members

This fact is known by seasoned astrologers. Let's analyze the reason why.

Jupiter in Capricorn is bad for health because Jupiter is basically Kapha (water and earth). And Capricorn ruled by Saturn is basically vata (space and air). But Capricorn being an earth sign and also a creature of half water half land means it also some elements of water and earth. This causes the sign of Capricorn to clash with its ruler creating an imbalance of the elements.

The fact that the ruler (and not the sign) of Capricorn which has the FINAL SAY of the elements, makes Jupiter in Capricorn to be at odds in this placement, as far as health is concerned. It is as if the elements have a contradiction to start with (Saturn with Capricorn) and the final say by Saturn which is at odds with Jupiter. This causes Jupiter in the sign to have all the elements going haywire.

Thus Jupiter in Capricorn is bad for health generally.

Let's examine the wealth part.

1st drekkana is a mammoth animal all in fetters with a noose round him (I think this is fixed to the nose). Nose comes under Jupiter. The person's spiritual dharma is at stake. And the noose signifies hanging. Fetters denote restraint. With Jupiter here (the 1st drekkana), the planet representing freedom, all fetters (and noose) gets unlocked. With that the mammoth beast can achieve great things through circumventing certain procedures.

2nd drekkana is a lady collecting iron (ie. items of lasting value). She wears iron ear rings. That means based on what she hears (good things0, she go to places that help her to earn money (Capricorn rules the knees signifying karma or work unlike Sagittarius ruling thighs which means the person go to places that build up his fortune). Jupiter in the 2nd drekkana, all works come to fruition because Jupiter is an auspicious planet.

3rd drekkana is a kinnara with a bow and arrow and carrying a pot full of gems. The pot shows there is some influence of Aquarius in this drekkana (this portion of sidereal Capricorn, the 3rd drekkana, actually translates to Tropical sign Aquarius which clearly shows the connection between sidereal signs and tropical signs).

The pot shows an unending flow of treasures and Jupiter here only accentuates it. Jupiter is a peaceful planet but still fiery and dharmic in nature, so we can safely say the bows and arrows would be used with discretion and for dharmic purpose. The person can be a philantropist and at the same time someone who fight for justice as well. The person is also highly protected by celestial Gods.

So Jupiter in Capricorn is good for wealth.

Best Regards

Aries lagna and Jupiter being 9th lord in 10 in Capricorn. Will this position be good for wealth?

I have this only in my Dashamsa chart in 5th house. Can you say anything about this? In D-1 its tightly with Mercury & loosely with Sun in 2nd house Virgo.

Does drekkana 1,2,3 mean 0-10, 10-20,20-30 deg of sign Capricorn respectively ?

I think Khoo has mentioned before that this is a really good placement, especially if Jupiter is retrograde.

You will have health issues which may need confinement if Jupiter is badly aspected or conjuncting uncongenial planets. Wealth wise it would be in the direction of parents' money / hidden sources of support / growth in savings (12th is the 11th of the 2nd).

Jupiter's spirituality of the 12th is hampered though as the person may have worries about mundane affairs.

Khoo sir a question,

When Jupiter is debilitated is its aspect is bad or good. B.V Raman says its good but weak but what if its a functional malefic too?

Btw can you please answer my query above? I'll be grateful :-)
