Treating for Planets in Parivartana/Srinkhala[2]

There is one very important concept that affects the determination of how a planet is placed in a chart. It is very important to check if a planet is either in Parivartana or in Srinkhala and apply necessary adjustments. In the experience of this author, a planet which has undergone Parivartana/Srinkhala behaves as if it is placed in its own sign (the sign that has participated in Parivartana/Srinkhala). Except for considering combustion and effects of other conjunctions and aspects, for other purposes, such a planet should be treated as if it is in its own sign. As a result of Parivartana/Srinkhala a planet is entitled for two different placements, one in the house actually placed and the other the resultant own house. That planet should be assigned the better of the two placements. Hence, a planet debilitated but in Parivartana should be assigned a ‘GO’ (Goes to Own) placement while a planet exalted and in Parivartana/Srinkhala should be assigned ‘EX’ placement.

However, one should note that more the planets in Srinkhala, less the effectiveness of Parivartana. A three planet Srinkhala should be definitely considered while a Srinkhala involving more than three planets could be ignored.

Dear moody ji,

Please explain if any planet which is debilitated is also considered in this Srinkhala chain?
I am letting go of the thoughts that do not make me strong.

Dear Akansha,

From what I understood that a planet in srinkhala or parivartana is not debilitated and is considered as in own sign

so for my chart

Venus is in Cancer
Moon is in Aquarius
Saturn is in Libra

That's a srinkhala correct? Venus and Moon should be considered in own sign while saturn remains exalted?

Very interesting.

Would a Srinkhala also be considered in the divsional charts - Dasama in my case. ?

I have

Saturn in Leo
Sun in Aries (exalted)
Mars in Capricorn (exalted)

Would saturn be strengthened in any way in this case?
I'm curious as I'm in Saturn MD now.
Thanks

Hi Moody
What if the planets form a Dainya Parivartana yoga. It is supposed to be very bad. For example lets have a case of parivartana between Saturn in Aries and Mars in Capricorn for Leo lagna. Now as per the above Saturn is entitled for 2 placements - and is to be assigned the better placement ie Makara in the 6th house. This is considered to be a relatively safe placement for Saturn being an upachaya house and also Saturn is in strength. Similarly Mars MD and AD results need to be predicted as if Mars is exalted in Capricorn in 6th house. Again a relatively safe position for Mars though 9th lord it being a natural malefic its placement in upachaya is not to be considered bad. In effect this dainya parivartana between two enemy grahas is not bad at all. Please confirm if this assessment is correct.
