Jupiter's Ethereal Influence in the Chart

Hi Learned Members

The following Bhavas have the de facto influence of Jupiter with reasons given :

1st Bhava - Jupiter is digbala, Jupiter is life and taken Ascendant in Nadi

(Mercury is digbala here too and that is why sometimes we read D3 as an overall chart. D3 is almost as important as D9. Mercury is the natural ruler of the 3rd bhava).

2nd Bhava - Jupiter's direction, Jupiter is karaka.

3rd Bhava - Jupiter's number corresponding to the number of the Bhava

4th Bhava - Moon and Venus are digbala here. Venus is borned out of Pushya. Moon has strong association with Pushya like trading and the cow and mother earth. And Jupiter is deity of Pushya. Jupiter if connected with the 4th Bhava, makes the Bhava grow with time because of Jupiter's exaltation influence.

5th Bhava - Jupiter is karaka here.

6th Bhava - Mercury is natural ruler and one of the main karakas (The other is Mars. Saturn is only a secondary karaka here, 6th being a growth house through effort and the energy of Saturn fits here only through work where effort is required and not through other things like growth through luck or growth through minimal effort like Mercury).

This means Jupiter would have an influence here as well because Mercury is so strong here. Mercury is Jupiter's student. (Don't forget Mercury represents Vishnu and also Buddha who meditated on God).

7th Bhava - Jupiter is the karaka for husband and social standing here.

8th Bhava - Jupiter has NO INFLUENCE here.

9th Bhava - Jupiter is natural ruler here and also one of the main karakas.

10th Bhava - Jupiter is the secondary karka for expansion in work related matters (not necessarily career but it can be).

11th Bhava - Jupiter is karaka here.

12th Bhava - Jupiter is natural ruler.

This leaves only the 8th Bhava. This means :

(1) According to Lal Katib if Jupiter is placed here, the person receives help from Providence until the time he wears gold. 8th the house of past life effects on the native given unexpectedly and usually malefic. With Jupiter here, the past life effects are overcomed.

(2) If Jupiter is debilitated here, it is a Raja Yoga (as with all planets debilitated in Dusthana). This makes it doubly good.

(3) According to Bharvanath Ratnakara, Jupiter ruling the 9th placed here is very auspicious. Here the 9th house of fortune and God is spilled over 8th house matters, on top of what is mentioned in (1).

so what effect does a deb Jupiter in 5th house Capricorn and 5th lord Saturn sitting in Kendra(10Th house)(cancellation of deb) do for an individual having kanya lagna(badhak jup)

Lal Katib remedies based on positions of planets and subsumed under the book "Encyclopaedia of Astrological Remedies" compiled by Yashkaran Sharma and edited by Arun Kumar Bansal and approved by All Indian Federation of Astrologers' Societies, the author talks about Mars having Mangalik Dosa in the 8th house and also under circumstances when Saturn does badly in the 1st house etc.........all this point to the fact that the author is interpreting in terms of the bhavas we know of and not just the signs. I use the word "just" here because signs are also bhavas but that is another issue.

You can always take signs as the same as bhavas as we know of except signs stress more on styles and less on fate except when we are talking about very bad or very good placements in signs in which case fate has more weightage. Bhavas as we know of always consider fate from various angles as the author in the above book shows in his writing.

Remedies within the lal kitab are specifically meant for planets in the signs, so you cannot use those remedies for other signs taken from lagna or moon. For example: remedies for scorpio if applied to any other bhava can be dangerous, I have documented evidence of this. There are other non-lethal remedies of lal kitab which can be applied for any bhavas.

1. If you or anybody else in your house is not feeling well then you must feed baked sweet bread or chapati to stray animals (dogs, birds etc) . It would be better if you feed them your share of food. The reason for this is partly because of Rahu or Ketu who are responsible for ailments due to external influences - any kind of sickness, viral infection is because of negative Rahu.

2. Taking meals in the kitchen provides protection against Rahu.

3. Place a glass/jug of clean water beside your bed while you sleep and pour it to a pot plant or a tree in the morning. This gives a good dreamless sleep and provides protection against Rahu.

4. If Moon is afflicted or weak in the chart then never stay in the dark rooms for long periods of time nor you should avoid company.

5. Never empty out your cash box, locker, bank account, wallet, purse etc...always keep some money in them.

Any other remedies from Lal kitab if applied to random signs taken from lagna, sun or moon then they will have adverse effects.

Lal Katib also talked about remedies that apply generally but it applies to condition like if the planet is weak etc. Not in the way you segregate the remedies. It was also documented in the book above.

Thank you ashtalakshmi. If you want more remedies then you can follow the remedies prescribed in Lal Kitab (mail me if you want the book) which are simple to follow. I recommended them to 14 people this year out of which 8 had something positive to say after performing them so in my view Lal Kitab remedies has a high success rate. I cannot yet say why it doesn't work for some people....its still a work in progress as I don't have all the answers yet.

Another class of remedies that I follow is based on Nadi astrology, this is also recommended by AV Sundram who is a renowned astrologer with some expertise in nadi. He divides remedies into 4 groups based on signs and planetary positions.

1. Fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) - Do havan/homa or rituals
2. Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) - Charity
3. Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) - Use yantra, kavach, gemstones or some sacred items. Anything you wear must touch the skin. Personally, I don't recommend gemstones but some astrologers believe they work.
4. Air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) - Recite Mantras

Based on these rules we can further narrow down to specific remedies based on planetary positions or affliction. For instance your Mercury is in Pisces, to strengthen it you must make donation to someone's education - it can either be money, books or school uniform etc or if you don't like doing that you can visit Vishnu temple and donate items related to Mercury such as green grams or green saree etc.

This is just a basic overview of nadi remedies....you mustn't recommend these remedies to others with proper analysis of the chart.

For Saturn: Wear Panchamukhi Rudraksha, make sure you soak it in Ghee (clarified butter) for 48 hours before wearing it. Authentic rudrakshas are very expensive and rare to find, the cost of Rudraksha mala will be over 2000 INR so anything cheaper may not be authentic. Also make sure you are not wearing any other type rudhraksha such as ekamuki or dwimukhi as they are known to create marital discord especially ekamuki which creates problems related to procreation.

For Jupiter/Rahu: Perform Rudra abhishekam every 6 years.

You'll see moderate progress in profession next year (2015). Major progress is seen after 2021.

So all in all you don't see any great progress in my sat dasha...which anyways has not been good from the start itself.
Can I know the exact reason of myself not faring well in sat MD though it is my yogakaraka....just for my knowledge.

Since saturn is retrograde it will affect your 12th house which is the house of loss, as per parashari system Saturn in the loss making sign is considered to be a benefic placement for this Lagna but it is not very strong in my opinion.

As per KP system Saturn is the sub lord of 6, 9 and 12th cusps so results will be mostly according to these houses. Saturn itself is in the nakshatra of Mars which rules the 12th house and in the sub of Jupiter, the ruler of 8th cusp. So as per KP Saturn normally gives the results of 6, 9, 12 and 8 houses from Lagna.

As per nadi Retrograde saturn forms a connection with venus, Rahu and Jupiter at the same time resulting in wealth yoga of moderate scale (d12 of d9)...this will improve gradually if you follow that Rudra Abhisheka remedy (it is also good for health).

sir this is a coincidence becos, our family is travelling to our native place to perform a rudra abhishekam for the entire family on 4th of Jan 15, and we also plan to do it every year hence forth. My question here now is the rudra abhishekam has to be done in my name or in general for the family and myself participating in such an abhisekham would be enough.

Since you are already planning to perform the abhishekam it shows that you are going in the right direction, there are no co-incidences as everything you do or face has some reason behind it, it is also nice for me to know that the nadi vakya has a tremendous power behind it. However, the remedy is meant specifically for your chart so you must do it with your own earnings as well as devotion. I can't speak for your family as I haven't seen their charts but there should be no problem if you include their names.

Understood sir. This abhishekam is done by my brother and the entire family is going to be the part of it.
Currently I am not even in a position to spend a 100 rs on my own but I will keep your points in my mind and perform all the remedies suggested by you with my own earnings asap.

Sir I am sending you my elder brothers birth details too...pls look into his chart. He has done well in his life and is into business of computer hardware from abt 22 yrs. But since towards the end of Jup dasha and the advent of Saturn dasha things have slowed down drastically and not as affluent as it use to be.
More over he has an acute conjunction btw sat-sun (rendering sat combust and a planetary war btw them) which goes down to D-60 level. Request you to see his chart and give a reading on his remaining sat dasha and suggest any needed remedies.

...Sankalpam of yours been initiated during Rudra abhieskam.
