I can understand what you mean. But if that is what she wants from life, then your mother should try to accept it than try to change her to someone she doesn't want to be. We should not lead our life on the basis of what society is thinking, and I am sure for each and every mother her child's happiness is more important than the happiness of society. If she can't be happy with material life, then why force her to lead that life and make her unhappy, just because society is not approving of it? And she is not doing anything wrong that you will stop her from doing it. This is what I feel about it.

This yoga should not seen only from Lagna or Moon but this should be seen from Atmakaraka also. The placement of the lords of the 8th and 12th house should be taken into consideration while looking for daridra yoga.
