Dear Somerville,
Please take online information with caution. Venus and Sun conjunction is pretty common and Mercury Sun conjunction is even more common. To have the three of them together is fairly common too because they are inner planets and never too far from the Sun degree wise. I saw some of these videos and a lot of information provided is a product of the mind than what the ancient texts say. I personally know of cases with both severely combust (within 1 degree of Sun) having no impact. A lot of rules need to be applied before arriving to a conclusion.
So buyer beware !

All that Kapiel Raj says in his videos are the in general talk of astrology. and in a particular chart u can never generalize anything while predicting.
his funda of combustion is different from wats written in our ancient texts, so its alwas better to ignore this guy Kapiel while learning astrology.
Ven and Sun are alws nearer thats because Ven is max 48 Deg away from sun and Mer 28Deg .... so they are mostly in the same house or sign.
there is no hard and fast rule about ven sun conjunction leading divorce as Kapiel said but ya there can be trouple in married life in sexual pleasure.

Combinations could not be taken as gar rented at all. Even best friends can't behave exactly the same at all places...
The Sun means “I am” Best quality: Rulership,Worst quality: Dictativeness
The sun represents your ego, the inner you, your essence, the unchanging part of you – the calm, steady, deep and lasting force felt within you, enabling you to exert willpower, make decisions and direct all the other parts of you life. The Sun represents your will, and its sign determines the dynamic expression of the will, which is carried out through the activity of the other planets in the horoscope. Remember, the sun sign is just the start of your portrait. Think of your horoscope as a painting of you. The characteristics of your Sun sign are the first broad strokes that the artist first lays down on the canvas. The artist outlines your general shape, the planes and angles of your face, the way in which you hold your body. In the same way, your sun sign delineates your fundamental character, your core. Are you introspective? Do you make friends easily? Are you pompous or plain, generous or greedy? How do you cope with responsibility? Are you high-strung or easygoing? The answers may be found in a study of your Sun's position by sign and house, and any aspects from it..........
Venus means “I love”Best quality: Affection,Worst quality: Pliancy (bending too easily, taking the easy way out)
Venus is the planet of love, pleasure, and beauty. It represents your capacity to express affection and to enjoy beauty. This includes your capacity to attract and appreciate the things of the world, whether they are emotional, physical/material, mental, or spiritual things. It defines the type of people you draw to yourself, based on your social values. Things ruled by Venus include: what kind of sex appeal you posses, love affairs, the arts, beauty and beautiful things, adornment, affection, the social graces, harmony, and friendship. Being the planet of pleasure, it points to the kinds of amusements you are drawn to and in what ways you spend your money. The position of Venus in your natal chart can answer such questions as: What kind of lovers do you attract? Are you flirtatious? Do you find happiness in your love affairs, or are you often disappointed? Where do your creative talents lie? The sign of Venus gives important information about how you expresses yourself in personal relationships, especially in love and marriage. It also indicates your attitude toward money, personal possessions, creature comforts, and social and aesthetic values. Your Venus sign also reveals your idea of the "perfect woman." In a male's chart, the Venus sign indicates the type of woman that attracts him. In a woman's chart, the Venus sign indicates the qualities that she uses to attract lovers. The house position of Venus indicates the type of people with whom you establish relationships, both friendships and romances, and where you are most likely to find an artistic outlet.

Usually, there are NO blanket rules in Vedic Astrology. Especially as far as conjunctions are concerned on such a superficial level. I mean that without considering the house, sign, degrees, Nakshatras, aspects it would really be nothing but a bad gamble to say that Venus Sun conjunctions always leads to separation.somerville wrote:Venus & Sun Conjuction - DIVORCE FOR SURE ?Says Mr kapiel Raaj

I used to follow the channel as well and it is "teachings" like these that made me reconsider it as a learning resource. I use it scarcely now and knowing that I can't take it face value from those videos. Yes, you'll have to audit the information passed there and that can be done when you know what you're listening/watching. Unfortunately, it's not for beginners then anymore. I'd suggest read some good books from Indian authors who are well acquainted with this knowledge.
And like somebody already mentioned, these being inner planets cannot drift away from the Sun too much anyway. I think Mercury can go no further than about 27 degrees and Venus can go no further than about 47 degrees at any point in time unless they actually fall out of their orbit in the sky! This is actually based on real cosmology and not just some pseudo science.
