Transit analysis from lagna or moon sign?

Dear learned astrologers,

I have always this confusion about transit(s). Reading on the internet adds to more confusion!
Is it seen from lagna or moon sign?
Am I undergoing through ashtam shani currently (suffered a lot for past two years) or will be going after Nov 2014 (scary!)? Please guide.
DOB: 02/02/1982
POB: Mumbai, India
TOB: 09.55 am

Please enlighten me about the important transits this year and how shall they affect ?

For transits, read it from moon sign. (ashtama shani , janma guru - all read from moon sign only)
Lagna also has to be taken into consideration.

Stop worrying about Ashtama Shani(Be it from Lagna or Moon). You will be having great relief in the coming months, thanks to Jupiter transit to cancer. Your Lagna lord gets exalted in 5th house and aspects Lagna. You cannot ask for better period than this. Considering last 2 years have been tough for you as u said.
