what can we say about the placement of rahu & moon in lagna I have read that such a placement can make a person disciplined.
in general does this placement of rahu & moon in the same house indicate some kind of unfulfilled desires in the previous birth.

I have a relative with Moon and Rahu conjunct in Lagna. And another relative with that conjunction in a different house. One thing I have noticed about these people is that their thinking is quite eccentric and unconventional. They think out of the box. They are also very independent and don't like being tied down to any routine or conventions. In fact, even marriage can feel like a burden to them if their partner expects them to follow social norms.

That's very interesting, Rita ji, the points you have mentioned. Today only I was thinking about this Rahu-Moon combination, and saw your post now. It helped me understand this combination much better.
Could you share the birth details of the two people, who have the combination in their charts?

Hello Astrobelief,
I found your comment very interesting. Could you please pass me the birth details of those two people, who have Rahu-Moon combination in their charts? I just want to see if there are any factors in the charts, which counteracts the Rahu-Moon effect in the charts.

I'm sorry Basab, I haven't got their birth date and time. I only know that they have the moon-rahu combination. By the way, both have moon-rahu in Capricorn sign.Orange-Man wrote:That's very interesting, Rita ji, the points you have mentioned. No problem, Rita ji. Thank you for telling in which sign Rahu-Moon is placed in their charts.

I have RA-MO conjunction in 4th house. Not that I am trying to get a reading- many astrologers on this forum have anlyzed my chart- I am presenting my birth details purely from a academic standpoint.

1. Change of residence atleast twice a year.
2. Change of workplace atleast once a year.
3. Very sensitive to what others say.
4. Emotional roller coaster- one moment i am happy and the next moment, I am depressed.
5. Extreme obsession with buying/owning a house from a very young age.
6. Only daughter living away from me.

Rahu gives an obsessive tendency towards the qualities of the house it is placed in, and when it is with Moon which rules our emotions, the obsession towards those things is amplified. No wonder then that you have an extreme obsession towards buying a house since 4th house stands for property and residence. 4th house also signifies how content a person is, which is totally against the qualities of Rahu, and with Moon it affects your peace of mind, hence the emotional roller coaster. To add to that, Moon-Rahu are in the sign of Gemini, which is a dual sign, always thinking about change and something better to go to, which explains points (1) and (2).
Warm Regards

Here are my two cents. I have Ra-Mo in 3rd house in gemini. I guess this combination makes me very restless, mind is always thinking of something and, an appetite for extreme multi-tasking. And you are right it makes one obsessive.
Rajath, I share point #4 with you

Thanks Rita for providing your astrological input.
Change in workplace and residence are always forced upon decisions. Definitely not what I want to do. I, just like any other person want to settle at one place, have friends and enjoy a stable life. But my life is anything but that.
Honestly very very sick of all the changes in residence and stop/start career...not sure if it will end before my 'end'. a very worthless and pathetic life so far.

How has your relationship with your mother been? Just curious because of your Moon-Rahu in 4th house.

Rita,
I have a soft corner for my mom; we do argue occasionally. She is from a rich family. Compared to my relation with my dad, it is 1000 times better.
In fact, I have lost touch with all my relatives in the past 3+ years. My dad treated me like a rag doll; he abused and tortured me. It may be because of Jupiter in the 8th house....not sure though.

I also have Rahu & moon in 4th house of Scorpio (so moon in debilitation) also my moon is my 12th lord as i'm a Leo ascendant.
My older brother also has the same nakshatra as me (Jyestha)
Not close to my mother, do not relate to her in anyway me and my brother had a difficult childhood, not spoken her for years. Shame because when I look of friends on how they relate with their mother's there is much love and respect between them and Admire this so much.
I do not hate her but we just not close, I felt my mother was all self, did not show much interest in us when growing up. No encouragement, guidance etc, oh well, this is Karma so we have to learn the lessons.
looking at 4th house matters, not lived in the greatest of areas, plenty of drugs and crime, lived on my own for the passed 10 years, but last year brought house with my partner, in a much better neighbourhood. So thank god for his blessings on this.
Would love to build my own house, have a strong desire to build something simple, cabins etc, live mortgage free. Have a interest in going back to basics of how we used to live hundreds of years ago, and getting away from city life.
past few months been offering milk on shiva linga on mondays, This was from the advice of Shilpa-ji on this forum, I also starting to listen rudram and chamakam, and now reciting chandra kavacham. Have performed for the first time in my life rudrabhishekam on my birthday (Indian calender style when moon was in jyestha nakshatra in april)
oh also Jupiter is in my eighth house of Pisces, so by his 9th aspect he glances on my 4th house, i don't know if he has helped in any way due to being the eighth house ruler ??
Regards Raghu

Rajath - I am not an astrologer or not even a knowledgeable student. Just curious wrt your chart as I am a pisces ascendant as well with Jupiter in 8th house and also 9th lord Mars in 7th. I have not had such issues with my dad. He is definitely not abusive. So probably the issues that you faced should be attributed to something else other than jupiter. Even otherwise..why jupiter?? just trying to understand..Is it because Jupiter is the ruler of the natural 9th house??..i thought it should be sun or 9th house/lord for father...I could be wrong too..

I have noticed one thing: that Rahu-Moon effect is not so severe for everyone who has that combination. For some only mild symptoms of the combination is seen, and for some very strong symptoms.
I feel when Rahu-Moon are 10 degrees or more away from each other, or if Jupiter or Venus has an influence on the combination, then the effect of the combination gets diluted to a large extent, but when they are less than 10 degrees away from each other, or when they are afflicted by Mars, or Saturn, or Sun, or even Mercury connects with them, then the effect becomes very severe.
I have Rahu-Moon in Cancer sign in my chart. I am very sensitive and have mood swings.

Yes I agree the effect seems to vary so it must be due to the number of degrees between Rahu and Moon as well as aspects of other planets.
Moon in Cancer people are generally very sensitive, Moon being in its own sign and Cancer being a Water sign. For you, obviously Moon being with Rahu would be having a bigger impact on your moods.

Thanks for your input Raghu. I know a number of people with Scorpio Moon in Jyestha nakshatra and most of them do not have a close relationship with their mother. On the outside it looks as if they have a cordial relationship, but there is no closeness. As you have Rahu with your Moon, Rahu would be making you feel you want to be close to your mother, but debilitated moon does not know how to make it happen.raghu wrote:I also have Rahu & moon in 4th house of Scorpio (so moon in debilitation) also my moon is my 12th lord as i'm a Leo ascendant.

Rita ji,
I am very sensitive, you are right. And yes, mood swings I have a lot, too. This combination has affected my life in a big way, I feel.
