Hello all,
my friend recently had a reading done from knRao's school's website journal of astrology.
They e-mailed him his reading, and my friend let me read it with him - I noticed they at one point in regards to wealth mentioned:
"Add the SAV BB of houses 1, 2, 4, 9, 10 and 11 if they are more than 164 shows financial prosperity."
my friend scored 187.
also they said : "9th, 10th and 11th house have 30 SAV BB in each houses (Sarvashtakvarga benefic bindus) shows good financial status. Generally more than 30 SAV BB each in these houses gives rich status. "
My friend's all had 30 points.
They also said 12th should be lower in points than 2nd and 11th and 1st ideally, which my friends chart fits too.

However he is far from prosperous at the moment, ..borderline poverty really.

And I went and checked with about 20 celebrity charts (those with confirmed "AA" rating birthtimes) and noticed many did not fit this criteria. (all were rich celebrities who are very famous..like Clint Eastwood, Oprah Winfrey,etc..)

most all lacked 1 of the top 3 criteria. And many lacked two of the three (usually 12th house having more points than ascendant or 2nd or 11th (or many of them).

I checked then with family/friends charts of well off people, my uncle for instance...rich and never really any money troubls, his birthtime's quite confirmed except he scores only 160 points total. And his 12th house has 29 points, where his ascendant has 23 and 2nd house has only 24. 11th house has 29....equal to 12th.

Anyway, Do members here find this works? Or is it overruled by other yogas and planet placements in the chart?
or...well, how should one use these 9th, "SAV BB" ashtakavarga points?
To me they don't seem to work at all.

thank you

Edit: just checked the chart of a friend in india (who's time/chart's confirmed fully),
he is 39 years old and struggling, jobless and living back at parents house.
His 12th house has 22 points, ascendant has 32 and 11th has 39!
Adding up houses 1,2,4,9,10,11 gets him at 188 points! Doesn't make sense.

Kindly see the chart as a whole. First see the Dhan Yoga in Rashi Chart along with the strength of planets in D-9. Then apply the S.A.V bindus e.g in case of Mr Bachhan 11L Jupiter is not only exalted in 6H but Vargottama and in pushkaramsha. Jupiter as 11L aspecting the 2H a Dhan Yoga. 9L[Venus, Lakshmi Shan]] though debilitated in 8H but in pushkaramsha aspecting the 2H. 5L[Mercury, Lakxgmi Shan] is in own house and again aspecting the 2H. Moon the lord of 6H[Dhan trikone] is very well placed in 9H[ Lakshmi Shan]. In D-9 11L is in 11H with 9L. Yogakarka Saturn in 9H aspecting the 11H. 6L Jupiter is exalted in 10H aspecting the 6H. Moon and Mars are aspecting each other, a dhan Yoga. Now check the A.V points both in D-1 and D-9. regards

Thank you anuradha, this is what I suspected, but wanted confirmation from a more learned member such as yourself.

11nd lord (when strong) aspecting the 2H is a Dhan yoga?
Would 11th lord mars, in 11th in own sign aspecting 2nd count as a sort of Dhan yoga? (I ask because I have this).
Of course we'd have to see the chart as a whole+mars' strength, etc. But I mean would the aspect of a wealth planet such as 11th lord aspecting a wealth house qualify as a sort of mini dhan yoga? (I always assumed it needed to be conjunctions , like 2nd conjunct 5th, etc. - but granted I have only read websites online, am in no way a scholar of the subject)

So in the case of people who are wealthy but have poor SAV BB points, the dhan yogas and other planetary placements+Strengths are overriding the SAV BB points?
(for instance, my uncle who is wealthy and never been poor , low ashtakavarga points, but he has 2nd lord mercury in own sign in 11th, conjunct sun (leo ascendant) and not really combust (mercury at 11 degree, sun at 20). Yogakaraka mars is in 5th aspecting them (from 8 degree's))

Of course the whole chart matters, but just as an example he has quite the Dhan combinations there, even though Ashtakavarga points are lower (and 12th house's points are higher than 1st, 2nd and 11th house)
