Does following make Raja Yoga (which means successful and high achievements?)

Sun and saturn in 3rd house

Me and Ve in 4th house .

Do the above qualify as conjunction, aspects or exchange of kendras/kona lords?

Why Dridra yog :

Mar and Ket in Lagna in Rashi chart with Taurus (without 9th or 10th lord)

Dear Shrikanthji,

I appreciate your response to the queries.

In the query I was talking about planets in my Rasi chart.

I have mars and ke in my Asc with Taurus- Is this combination a daridra yog?

in my 3rd house i have saturn and sun combination and
4th house has venus and mercury ..... do these consist rajayogs

Mr mettad,

If Taurus is your Asc and Mer -Ven Conjunction is there in your fourth house,then it is a confirm raj yoga.
Also sun and saturn conjunction in third is a raja yog too.

I was trying to learn about Yogas. Correct me if I am wrong.

Lord of house 1 is Mars

2- Jupiter
3- Saturn
4- Sa
5- Jupiter
6-- Mars
7-Venus
8- Me
9-- Mo
10-- Su
11_ Sa
12- Ve




The conjunction of the Kendra lords or the Kona lords or the Kendra or Kona lords is highly auspicious. These are called Raja yoga combinations. The Raja yoga combinations give rise to authority, power, position and wealth. However, if a dusthana lord. i.e., 6th, 8th or 12th lord joins them it spoils the rajayogas.


Ketu is lord of which house. Because in Taurus lagna I have mars with Ketu

In 3rd house ..i have conjunction with kendrs house with kendra so may be raja yoga

But in 4th house i have conjunction of Me and Ve.... a conjunction of lords of 7th and 8th house so it must be spoiling the Raja yoga.

No,if taurus is your asc then Lord of 1st-Venus
L of 2nd-mercury
L of 3rd-moon
L of 4th-sun
L of 5th-mercury
L of 6th-Venus
L of 7th-Mars
L of 8th Jupiter
L of 9th-Saturn
L of 10th-Sa
L of 11th-Jupiter
L of 12th-Mars

So your Me and Ve are in fourth house,that means lord of 1st (Ve) and lord of 5th (Me) are together and so is a raj yog.
And your Sun and Saturn are in third house,that means lord of 9th (Sa) and lord of fourth (Su) are together so a raj yog.

But along with the lordship of 1st house,Venus also has lordship over sixth house,So that doesnt exactly spoil the raj yog,but yes it creates some hurdles or it causes you to struggle a little more. Rahu and Ketu have no sign lordships,they just try to act like their dispositors

And pl do not get me wrong,i also am new in this subject,so I watch yogas in people's charts and ask whether they hv experienced the same in their actual lives or not? I looked at your chart and so wanted to ask something personal-Is your present job or future goal anything connected to Foreign or involving lot of travel?

Mr mettad,

Yes,Lordship is decided by Lagna sign.
Lagna sign is taken in the 1st house and then remaining signs in order follow it. For example,your chart has Taurus Asc,So Taurus is in 1st house so first house lord is venus,and then the sequence continues,gemini in 2nd (lord Mercury) ,Cancer in 3rd (lord moon) ,Leo in 5th (lord sun) .......upto Aries in 12th (lord mars).

How about if lagna is leo , and
venus mars in 3rd house
Ke, Su, Me in 4th house

My understanding is as follows:

Venus is lord of 3 and 10 Mars is lord of 4 and 9 so this conjunction does not have raja yog.

What yog would that be then?

Mr. Mettad,

Yes that surely will be a Raj Yog as venus,the lord of tenth house and Mars,the lord of ninth house are in conjunction.

And as for sun-mercury in fourth,it is a dhan yoga,as lord of 1st(Sun) is with lord of 2nd and 11th (Mercury).

Thanks Rohit for your analysis. In Jaggannath Hora there is a difference- it shows only Ketu and Sun is 4th house (house of mars)
Mercury is in the 5th house(the house of jupiter). So the situation changes . Right?
