Adoption of a child!

Dear All Learned Members,

Please guide me regarding child adoption.
My husband and I are planning to adopt an orphan child. Both of our family supporting us. But my mother in law is taking major decisions.

I am currently residing in USA. I made my mind to go back to India and adopt the child there.
Could we be blessed with adopting a child?
Is their any major issue?

My: 21st Apr 1972
Place- Cuttack
Time: 7:35 pm

Husband: 8th Apr 1970
Place- Bhubaneswar
Time: 1:00 pm
