I have a badly debilitated Venus in 6th house along with an exalted, retrograde, combust mercury. I wanted to know whether my mercury loses all its exalted status because of its assocition with Venus. Also since I am an Aries ascendant, Merucy is considered to be functionally malefic. Can someone please suggest a remedy for a happy, healthy and a peaceful family life and whether I should wear a white sapphire/ diamond/emerald for it?

From Lagna, LL & 10L are mutually aspecting, which makes a great rajyoga. 10L in 10H is Shash Mahapurush yoga which may take you in politics and can elevate you upto the level of MLA.
From Moon, 10L Mars and 7L Sat are again in mutual aspect. 7L in 7H is repeating Shash Mahapurush yoga, this time refering to ur name & fame (Shahrukh Khan has this combination).
From Lagna, 3H contain exalted Rahu & 6L is in 6H, excellent.
From Moon, 3L is in 3H and 6H contain Ketu, excellent.
Conjunction of Ven & Mer is neechbhang of Ven.

When Sat AD started, transit wise Sat was exalted, thus assuring gud results.

Thank you very much sir. At least you have made my day by highlighting the plus points in my horoscope. However, I have no affinity to politics, I am in the field of writing and editing. One of the issues I am constantly worried about is about being cut off from friends, brothers and sisters and social ties, due to misunderstandings, family conflicts due to property problems and my health and digestion issues above everything else. I think it is due to the Saturn aspect and I have started worshipping Saturn. I am also reciting the saturn mantra, "om shanaishcharaya namah'. Also, I wanted to ask you whether wearing a gomed and an emerald would help as someone suggested it would help me tide over all the crisis. Also can you please suggest who is my ishta devata and whom I should worship all the time? I am currently worshipping Lord Shiva and durga.

2. The Moon has only malefic/aggresive planets in the Kendra from itself.

2. Yes property issues and differences with siblings over property issues have intensified in the past two years from January 2011.
3. The differences have nothing to do with aggressive behaviour, they are purely because blood relations do not have value anymore, everything is commercial. I am not surprised that you asked this question because you must have noticed that Mars is posted in my 7th house and aspected by Saturn. The reality is that I have often found myself to be a victim of deceit, treachery (property related matters) and being used by people with ulterior motives. I think this has everything to do with my debilitated Venus. I am married (had a late marriage) and every person has deficiencies and strengths, so I have accepted my spouse without complaining. As for neighbours, there are some troublesome people, who are hellbent on creating problems for others for no rhyme or reasons.
4. have become more spiritually lately and have been worshipping Lord Shiva (chanting Om Namah shiva and going to Shiva temple) and Goddess Durga (Om Shri Durgayai namah) for two years.

Does the fact that the Moon has only malefics in the kendra from itself make it a less benefic planet in the horoscope? Is it advisable to continue wearing a pearl or will it intensify the problems and reduce them? In fact, if I remember rightly, I lost my mother soon after I started wearing a pearl, about two years ago. Also how problematic is Mars in my chart? Also, is it right to worship Rahu and Ketu and chant their mantras, as advised by someone?

Also should i read hanuman chalisa and aditya hridayam stotram, that had been suggested to me earlier? Just for information wanted to mention this incident to you. I took suddenly ill on October 22 and almost fainted at a place, due to low blood pressure. Later I checked and noticed that my saturn antardasha got over on that day, though there is a saturn daiya that is currently in progress as per the chart.

I am planning to start reciting the Shiv Tandav stotra from Monday since it also happens to be the auspicious day of Lord Shiva who has been kind to me on past occasions, though he has not really protected me from enemies and people with evil intentions. I have got a sanskrit copy of the stotra though I was trying to get a copy in English.
As for Aditya Stotram, it has been recommended as a defense against all negative forces and people with hatred and questionable intentions: "Aditya Hridayam stotram sarva shatru vinashanam"- that is what I was told, Lord Hanuman is a sankat mochan for all times- Sankat kate mite sab pida, jo sumire hanmat bal beera".
I have sought solace by reciting Hanuman Chalisa on umpteen occaasions in difficult circumstances but I don't feel the same about Ram Raksha and the worship of Lord Ram, simply because my mother was a strong spiritual person and a devout follower of Lord Ram and would recite "Shri Ram Jayaram Jai Jai Ram" 24 hours of the day but she had a very painful death despite all her devotion, because of her critical illness.
Also as you had last observed and felt that Moon is the bigger problem between Moon and Venus in the chart, the Venus dasha more than 10 years, which took a major part of my younger years, proved to be very bad period for me, both in terms of finance and relationships.
