Thanks for your reply. I read a post about the application of gemstones and how one should avoid them strictly for the 6th, 8th and 12th houses. I am a little concerned after that as I am wearing yellow sapphire for the past 5 years on the advice of an astrologer, though my Jupiter retrograde is posted in the 12th house and also aspecting 6th house Mercury conjunct Venus. Another astrologer recently told me that I was wearing the wrong stone of yellow sapphire and advised me to wear hessonite and emerald instead for all my digestion and stomach problems and my career problems. Yes you should avoid wearing gems for dusthana houses and I have given you gem advise in my previous reply. Wearing yellow sapphire will not cause problems. Gems should be worn in a muhurta.

You should follow doctor's advise and not to full rely on vedic remedies.

as you know , moon and Saturn are mutually aspecting each other , both are enemies towards each other . I dont think spouse health will be affected. But in the first look itself 7th lord Venus is debilitated and is weak . So spouse was never strong from the start .

Present time shani/venus.....Dhanu lagna. Things will improve from january with respect to personal front. Career wise improvement from July 2014

Thanks Mr Kartik. You are right. The debilitated Venus is an indication that spouse has never been strong but what I wanted to ask you is whether an exalted, retrograde and functionally malefic Mercury is better than a badly debilitated Venus. Which of the two planets is better? Also is the 7th house Mars equally bad or as they so describe a marak planet?
