Hello Resepcted Astrologers, Please help me understand the below classical dictums:

Why is Ketu in 5th house called as a danger for progeny? In Virgo?
Does this block children once for all?

Does Rahu in 11th compesate this weakness for progeny?

Ketu in 5th, in general does not block or deny progeny. It is more likely to cause some grief on account of progeny. On the other hand, Rahu in 5th is more likely to cause denial of progeny. This is again very general and it must be applied with caution. A few other factors need to be considered - 5th from ChandraLagna, the strength & placement of Jupiter and also 5th from Jupiter.

Rahu and Ketu do not own Pisces/Virgo.

Nodes in general do well in upachaya houses - they can be considered favorable when their rashi & navamsa depositors are favorable. If however, they are in kendra or Trikona, their association with other lords can be very favorable too,
I.e. placed in kendra, but associated with a kona lord, or vice versa.
