Shrikanthji and Anandji,

You had looked at my horoscope sometime back. I am facing some frustration at work in terms of growth and compensation. I worked over 14 hours for the last six months and the result was not very fruitful, while I did get increments and promotion, both were not commensurate to experience, effort or knowledge. I am wondering if this pattern will continue for a while or is there a chance to break this cycle.

Any thoughts and comments would be really helpful. I have been trying to move from my current role to a parallel role in a different functional organization to get my career on track and even that is facing hurdles. Is there anyway to rectify these problems.

Thank you very much.

Anyone else who want to have a take on this.

Shrikanthji,

Thank you for your analysis, greatly appreciated! It reinforces a few things:

1. Ve/Su period in 1995-96 was not the greatest
2. Ve/Ma preiod in 1998-1999 was end of my undergrad and it took me 2 months get the job i wanted and I stayed on to that job for 8 years. A very rewarding experience. Note that I had multiple offers but chose not to pursue any and went on looking for one that I was passionate about and I did find it.

If I follow the same theme given that Ve/Su are lords of 8th and 6th in rasi and both sit in 8th in Dasamsa, I guess it will be a repeat. Though the outcome of Ve/Ma was extremely beneficial for me personally (looking back). Also in 2013 I start Su/Ju so if I am not incorrect that would be a good period, is that a correct statement?

I have few additional questions, would really appreciate if you could spare sometime to answer them (I am struggling in finding a direction in my mind):

1. I am trying to move from "quantitative technology management" to pure investment areas, do you see a potential move there (short or long term?)
2. I have also been working on a couple of ideas with a good team to start a firm and I am hoping to go on my own in September / October 2011, if option 1 does not work out/ Do you think that is what the writing on the wall in July 2012 to July 2013 time frame? Is that something you would expect?
3. In general would a Moon period post 2017 put me out of the career misery ? Given it is in 5th house which is also its lord (though conjunct with Saturn?)

Really look forward to your answers as that might help me put my thought process into one bucket rather than chasing five different options that I am chasing right now.

Shrikanthji,

As you had stated earlier things are equally tough now if not tougher. Is there a remedy that you would suggest. Is it possible to open something of my own right now?

Thanks
Rahul

I was a bit busy elsewhere - I didnt quite catch your post.

But here's my analysis on your chart.
Rasi - Pisces Ascendant with a strong Jupiter in the Ascendant.

In the D10 chart.
Aquarius Ascendant with Mercury in it is quite positive and aspected by Jupiter. These two planets (benefics and also karakas in D10) are strengthening the D10 Ascendant.

You are running Venus dasa currently and Venus is yogakaraka debilitated in the 8th house with his worst enemy Sun.
Mercury though is the 5th lord is also the 8th lord and his presence (by lordship) can cause some suffering and turmoil in matters of career.

My guess is that all this hardwork and long hours started in Sep 2009.
If you switch the perspective of D10 chart to the debilitated Venus in Virgo.
Lagna lord Mercury is in the 6th, Jupiter in the 12th and 12th lord Sun is in the lagna.
Moon is in the 2nd house and Mars in the 10th. Note the fact that Mars is the 3rd and 8th lord.

Even in Rasi Venus is in Marana karaka sthana in Leo (owned by Sun)

Best part is that Venus dasa will end in Sep 2011 but the worst part is that the next dasa is of Sun who is again placed in the 8th with Venus.
So things may continue to be hard for a while.

I believe that with Sun/Mars period during Jul 2012 there will be some major new changes in your career.
You may be forced either by on your own or otherwise to look for a new job in that period.

Hope this helps

Shirkanthji

First apologies for writing to you late. As you had mentioned I did change my job and role in July 2012. That was spot on. I was also blessed with a daughter in July last year. I am doing good in my current role, though I feel I might run into a visa situation from now to oct of 2014. Would you be kind to have a look at the horoscope to see if things are going to be smooth or not.

Details for easy reference.
