Saturn in 10th house, GOOD or BAD ??

Hi everybody,

I am very curious about what happens if Saturn is in the 10th house in general. I have seen not very celebrities which have Saturn in their 10th house.
I have read and heard the following things about this placement :
When Saturn is in 10th house either in a friendly sign or a foe sign, it relates to lots of struggle and hard work in carrier. These people lack cleverness on how to rise in their carreer and also do not rise very high in their carreer.
They have a good relationship with their juniors but do not know how to appease their bosses or seniors. If they tend to become religious, then they are doomed meaning that they will fall down instead of rising up.
Also these people should never build their own house before 48 years, else whatever good results saturn was giving will be taken away and they will have to either sell their house or will have to stay away from their house which they have purchased.
These people should not travel much for their work but should sit at one place and do their work for more prosperity.
He should stay away from liquor, meat then only Saturn will be beneficial.
So I just wanted to know if anybody of you has Saturn in his 10th house and if yes, what results it is giving to you ?

bhadsanjay; Sat.in 10th is good for carrier/politics/acting etc.It will give a rise & later fall as sat asp.12th from 10th. "steepness of fall "depends on other bad aspects to it/sign strength/varga dignity .Many big politicians/celebrites/business men are born with sat.in 10th&went unnoticed thereafter.

Saturn in the 10th house is too generic.....what is the lagna and what are the drishti's of other planets on the 10th.......where does the 10th lord sit and does saturn aspect his own house....are all other relevant factors to be looked at.
But generically 10th is the Karma-Bhaav ( work, profession, authority and fame from work) and Shani is one of the karaks for Karma and it is the lord of the 10th house in the natural zodica starting with Aries.

Shani in the 10th will make the persona karmayogi........it's the karmik destiny of that person to work, work, work and work verd hard and shanidev depending on the otehr factors listed in bold above.....will reward him or make him struggle appropriately....so we need to know the date, time and place of birth , cast the chart and look at it totality.

generically 10th is a good house for shani to be in.

My aspect, My Dad has this one , he dint study, but got family properties and doing agriculture since his 20s. I somewhat agree with bhadsanjay, eventhough my dad knows many ppl, he doesnt know how to utilize them in a professional way. but he is good at getting work done from his workers and he doesnt mind about status or i dunno wat to say , he can move with ppl but not in a professional way. !

The above is one of the things that falls under the umbrella of Desh-Kaal-Patra i.e depnding on where and to whom you are born to...and what kinda value and cutural system you inherit.

Saturn will be benefical if you do karma under the guidelines of the Dharma as imposed on you by your Desh-kaal and Patra

Well, I have Saturn in 10th. Despite being a benefic (LL) and exalted in 10th, I have faced a lot of delays in my career. But they say, Shanidev gives more effects after your 31st year, so we will see and I will let you all know. I am also going through my Saturn return and Shani's transit in 10th is not really good.

I don't know if there are any malefic aspects on my Shani, some people grant Rahu with a 5th and 9th aspects, other don't depending on the school of thoughts, Shanidev is either under malefic aspect, or under no aspect (Rahu is in 6th).

Saturn is the lord of my tenth house, no planets in that house and saturn(exalted) in conjunction with venus(own house) in 7th house in my chart. Aries acs, still struggling to kick start my career and also in bad financial conditions from past 7 years so yeah so far it's been not so good...

Saturn-Venus combination is an interesting one and I have already started a separate topic in the forum for that. You can check that but tell me about your married life and partner ?

Also share your complete birth and place details so that we can analyze why Saturn-Venus conjunction is not giving you good results...

Dear learned members,

I have Lord Saturn in my 10th house of Cancer in Pushya Nakshatra. Lord Jupiter aspects the 10th house from 6th house. Education wise I have a professional qualification but since 11 years I am into business of heavy machinery. The rise has been steady but sure. And I am satisfied about it.

I have had to put lot of hard work but it has paid off in proportion. But Lord Saturn doesnt let me sit idle for too long. He likes people who put in efforts and take pains.

I have sat/ketu in tenth house gemini aspected by rah/venus from 4th house saggi..

don't know about ketu but yes Saturn in 10th has made me a meticulous worker,working hard and long,deriving best work from people,delivering more than required,multi tasking n taking too much responsibility..

rise n fall seems to happen a lot..every success is followed by a low..maybe ketu plays here a bit..not getting proper due for ur efforts is also one striking feature..

10th lord and lagna lord mercury occupies the second house which is currently battered badly by transiting Saturn/rahu..

if Saturn is natally good in 10th house why does it make one suffer during transits?..anyone?

Dear Shilpa Madam,

I have known this person for quite some time now. He has retro sat in 10th with ketu. He is a high ranking government official. I have always seen him dissatisfied with his career, although his position is quite reputed and high. His complaint is that he never gets results according to the efforts he puts, in as much as the input is more and the output is less. Also, he never gets recognition for the hard work he puts in.
