Very mixed up sister in law

Hi

My sister in law is going through a torrid time emotionally. She has the following problems:

1. She was overweight as a child, subsequently lost all the weight and despite being slim she seems to think her body is ugly and big. We reassure her she isn't big but she won't listen and has become obsessive with her diet and exercise.

2. A few years ago she had a relationship with a married man at work. This continued for a year and then he finished it. She has never got over this and came crying to me the other day that she will be single forever and won't ever find anyone.

She works so hard in her career as a police officer that she can't meet new people, plus nearly all of her friends are lesbians (we wonder if she may also be this way inclined but she denies it).

What is happening to her? Will things get better soon and is there anything we can do to help her!!?

--Your sister in law has a debilitated Venus the karak for relationships cojunct with lagna.
Further Venus is conjucnt with Gulika.

This single yoga makes it extremely dificult for her to demonstrate right physical/ emotional compatibility and esteem necessary for reltionships.

--and these negativities are exaggerated for the time being as she is running Venus anatradasa until end of april 2015 and Jup is the MD lord......
simultaneously she is also undergoing peak of sade sati with sahni transitting over her natal Moon whihc is conjunct with shani...making it like a double sade-sati in terms of emotional / mental stress and depressions.

--neverthless the chart in itself is not bad for sustainable relationships.
7th Lord is Jupiter well placed in his own house in the 7th and Navamsa 7th Lord is sun well placed in own house.....and Venus is well plaved with the lagna in friend shani's house in the navsama.

--all this indicates a good spouse...well educated, well placed in career...perhaps in a university or government job.

--if she can throuhg coaching / counselling and paryers come out of her negative / depresed state.......life will get better and eventually good in terms of relationships and married life.

prayer wise....she should chant shukra mantra " Om shum shukraye namah" 108 times daily.

visit santoshi Maa or any female goddesse temples on fridays until April 2015 and shiva temples on Mondays until Nov 2014..and chant om namah shivay 108 times.

all of the above should help her get peace/ release stress and imporve the self esteem in the short term

Overall, the chart is good for marriage. Debilitated Venus may be the issue here.
Moon, signifying the mind, gets perturbed during sade-sati. This is temporary and she can get over these issues through prayers and support from people around her.

Thank you so much for your insightful replies. I am so glad that there are some positives to her chart because she has been so down about herself for so long and no matter how much we try to encourage her, she just retreats into her own little world of self criticism and depression. I have never met a person who is so down about the way she looks and about her life in general.

She has so much going for her. Attractive, clever, funny, looks after her body. She just sees the opposite to what everyone else sees.

Shilpa, you say the spose could be a government worker....it makes me think it could be a fellow police officer that she marries. I take it that marriage would not be on the cards, or even a partner on the cards, until the venus antardasha has passed.

Dear betsy,
a relationship could start anytime.....but if it leads towards marriage it is advisable to let the Venus antardasa pass.
in about 3 months of whole-hearted prayers...and with positive counselling and encouragement from those around her approach and feel about herself should improve greatly.
