Umm..I think that would depend on the Lagna.

the natural benefic planets are as follows: venus, jupiter, and bit less - mercury. mars and saturn are natural malefics. moon and sun are luminaries - the dont count this way.

functional benefic/malefic/neutral/marakesh are counted according to the lagna sign. lagnesha - the ruler of lagna sign is always functional benefic. there are charts to see - for all the zodiac signs. marak - killer planets are the most malefic planets. rahu and ketu are always malefic, except of /but not much/ - if they are in their respectful exaltation signs/nakshatras.

hope that helps :D

Ok help me interpret this-

Moon debiltated in scorpio - but a full moon. How will you interpret this? It was like that 2-3 days ago.

Another example- Amavasya moon but with a solar eclipse also on.

Solar eclipse but sun debiliatated as well.

Would appreciate your thoughts!

What happens when moon is in aries and mars in cancer exchanging signs for capricorn ascendent? Obviously mars is debilitated.Since it exchanges signs , is the debility of mars cancelled?

Full Moon is very strong and a benefice because in case of Moon, Paksha Bala is most important.
Another example- Amavasya moon but with a solar eclipse also on.
Amavasya Moon is Weakest, and a malefic.
mars benefic?
Mars is a Yogakarka[ Lord of Kendra and Trikone] for Leo and Cancer Lagna so a benefice, for both the Lagna.

Thank you all for your replies.
I see now that it is a combination of lagna, placement, house rulership and strength.
Who knew a dasa of a weak 5th lord could be so unfavorable.

Thanks Anuradha for your input.

Can you also explain about debilitated sun with solar eclipse?

Can you explain how such a sun & moon signify parents in a chart?

Thanks!

The question is little hypothetical, if you have any specific case then give the birth details.

Anuradha,

Thanks for your reply. Not a hypothetical question- here is a chart.
As you can see, this is amavasya moon.
Sun is diwali sun with a solar eclipse.

Howver, some excellent features of chart- guru mangal yoga, moon has placement strength, mutual aspect between signs of jupiter and moon, 4 planets in own house, moon and rahu vargottam, mercury in saem house in D1 & D9.
bad- jupiter in 6th house, mutual aspect between mars & saturn, sun & moon as I said earlier. jupiter deb in D9.
Not allowed to share birth details- can share chart. Rahu dasha going on- materially very well provided but robbed her of self-confidence-(sun??).

Can you write about the sun & moon effect? Also, relationships?

Not possible for me to comment. For this I need the birth details.

Hina,

Lack of self confidence is due to Sun (3rd L) being caught in an eclipse and within the ambit of an angarak yoga (Rahu in the NK of Mars). Also Sun goes to a jala rashi in the Nav (Sco). However she will regain much of her confidence after Rahu MD is over.

Sun Rahu combination is not very good. And Moon Rahu combination makes her dreamy and impractical. Otherwise people born in amavasya are quite tough, but Rahu has spoiled the effect.

She has an overbearing father.

Hi Hina,

With 7th lord, Jupiter, in the 6th house with 6th lord, Mars and aspected by 8th lord, Saturn relationship/marriage will be a problem in her case.

An afflicted Rahu in the 5th house of mind can give her emotional suffering. Is she working? If so, her work life will be full of difficulties as the 10th lord is getting a double hammering from 2 natural malefics and is ill placed in the 6th house. But with a good chart, otherwise, she will have material prosperity as you have mentioned.

Hi Yellow,

Jupiter is placed in 6th house & is with functional & natural malefic mars. However, jupiter is in friend's house. It also aspects 10th house. Both mars & jupiter have ashtakvarga score. SO, I am quite hopeful.

However, 7th house is another thing altogether. 7th placed in 6th house with retro Saturn aspecting. In D9, Jupiter is debilitated. There does not seem to be any saving grace here.

Hi Hina,

You are right that Jupiter is aspecting the 10th house, and it is in a friendly sign, so I hope things will turn good for her as you have said.

Yes, marriage/relationship related problems will be there as Venus is also afflicted in the chart to some extent, though in own sign and in good house.
