In my son's chart, his navamsa changes just by a minute. How can I fix it? Someone please help me.He is very fond of fight postures like he does karate moves giving sounds accordingly and is extremely sharp.
He is just 5 years old and dont go to any karate or kungfu classes.
Moving his birth time forward by a minute , his navamsa lagna is leo and has mercury in lagna, jupiter and mars in 5th and venus in 10th house and the remaining planets are placed in other houses.
Seeing his interests, I assume his navamsa lagna to be leo.Am i right ? Please tell me other ways to fix his navamsa lagna.
How to fix the correct navamsa?

Dear Astalakshmi,
For Leo lagna in Navamsa, the natives are said to be afraid of cats and dogs. Sometimes, it works out from the amsa of the Atma karaka though.
Also, Mercury in Navamsa lagna makes one a good story teller. Especially, Mercury rules young ages and the natives are extremely talkative in childhood. The nature and type of the talk is controlled by Mercury status in Rasi chart and other influences on Mercury.
Depending on the lack of strength of Moon and Lagna in Rasi chart, Navamsa lagna can offer more input to a native' personality. So, these things must be verified to see if his fondness to karate is coming from a strong Mars in Rasi, or if Mars is Atma Karaka conjoined strong D9 Jupiter giving his influence. I can't see how Leo rasi by itself can give this nature.
In fact, Mercury in Navamsa lagna should make him disinterested in any type of physical fight. He should be more interested in "tricks" (i.e, playing hide and seek, word puns, mimicry) and verbal boasting (being in Leo).
Birth-time rectification needs consideration of several factors, but influences on Navamsa lagna are useful for 'type' of birth. Majority of charts with Cesarean births have Mars influence (either Mars in lagna or Mars is D9 lagna lord), involvement of nodes (especially Rahu) will cause use of instruments (like forceps, or episiotomy), unusually long labour shows influence of Saturn.
Hope some of this information eliminates some of the possible Navamsa lagnas you had in mind.
Best regards,
Violet
P.S. I realized that my Mercury Atma Karaka in Leo Navamsa made me write this. Since I have Saturn along with this Mercury, I am more restrained verbally. Mercury overcomes this Saturn in writing though.

What is the source of this? Can you apply it to any lagna with Leo Navamsa rising?
@ Ashtalakshmi, I use the following to verify Navamsa lagna.

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply violet twilight ji.
Anxious ji, thanks for the link but I get confused with it.
For example my D1 lagna is libra with moon in cancer and D9 lagna is libra too with moon in Scorpio, so which applies to me?
If you help with mine, I can find the logic and try to apply it to my son. Please spare some time.

Hi Ashtalakshmi,
If your Lagna is Libra and your Navamsa lagna is Libra as well, it means it is the first amsa of Libra.
"56.1. One born in the first navamsa in Libra is a fair-skinned man whose eyes are wide, tremulous, and black, whose face is long, and whose mustache is thick; a famous and haughty man who speaks nobly; one who knows about merchandise, and protects his money."
Navamsa is just a division of each rashi in nine equal parts, starting with Mesha, obviously, so the 1st amsa of Mesha is Mesha, second is Taurus and so on. The ninth amsa of Mesha will be Dhanu, hence the first Amsa of Taurus will be Makara.
You can find the table here:
http://www.barbarapijan.com/bpa/Varga/D ... _table.htm
So from if your Moon is in Cancer in D1 and Scorpio in Navamsa, it means it is in the 5th amsa.
Hope that clarifies it for you,

Dear anxious,
I heard first in Pt. Sanjay Rath's jyotish classes. IIRC, it's reference is Jaimini Sutras which give different attributes for each 'Swamsa'. This is interpreted either as Navamsa lagna or Navamsa Rasi of Atma Karaka, whichever is stronger. There is a whole list (irrespective of Rasi lagna): Aries - afraid of rats and cats, Sagittarius - careful with fall from heights, etc.
Here is a link from Sarajit Poddar: http://varahamihira.[NO EXTERNAL LINKS PLEASE].ca/2008/02 ... vamsa.html
Best regards,
Violet
