chalit chart

hello astrologer gurus,

i was reading about the chalit chart and was wondering between the chalit chart and main rasi chart + divisional charts, which has more significance and plays a greater role in the dashas.

for example, in main rasi chart i have the following planets:

Ascendant-Capricorn with Saturn
2nd House-Aquarius
3rd House-Pisces
4th House-Aries
5th House-Taurus with Moon
6th House-Gemini with Ketu
7th House-Cancer
8th House-Leo with Venus and Jupiter
9th House-Virgo with Sun, Mercury and Mars
10th House-Libra
11th House-Scorpio
12th House-Sagitarius with Rahu

But in my Chalit Chart, I have this placement:
Ascendant-Capricorn
2nd House-Aquarius
3rd House-Pisces
4th House-Aries
5th House-Taurus with Moon
6th House-Gemini with Ketu
7th House-Cancer with Venus
8th House-Leo with Sun, Mercury and Jupiter
9th House-Virgo with Mars
10th House-Libra
11th House-Scorpio
12th House-Sagitarius with Rahu & Saturn

So I guess will the effects in my dashas be more leaning towards the Chalit Chart or Rasi Chart? Will I get a beautiful wife with venus in 7th house in cancer in chalit chart?

To answer your question regarding the chalit chart,from what I know it goes like this-

The planet, say, Saturn in you case in Lagna in the sign of Capricorn forming Sasa yoga will give it's effects regarding the areas governed by the Lagna but the nature of effects would be such that as if Saturn is in Lagna but in Sagittarius.

Are Saturn and Venus retrograde?

Were you born in 1991-1992 ...September? Probably 1st week?

Sasa yoga makes a person independent and a wanderer.Someone who can exhibit a lot of free spirit.Now this can be interpreted in innumerable ways.I'd suggest that you search the forum for this yoga or even better google it to know how it influences the native for the standard effects change with aspects and placement in the D9

From what I get,your Venus (a yogkaraka for your ascendant) is conjunct Jupiter in the 8th house.Not a good thing but in chalit chart they both move to the 7th house.Jupiter is exalted in sign of Cancer so the effects would really be felt in the Jupiter dasa.
All I can comment is that I don't see a particularly strong Venus here but your Saturn is exceptionally strong. Propitiating Venus would be a good idea and it should help but I'd recommend you consult the experts before any performing any remedies or believing anything.

yea, i meant that since i have sun, venus, ketu in 11th house in aries in d9 chart would i be screwed in marriage/not get married at all?

also, what is more important for studying marriage life the 7th lord or venus (i'm a man)?

Tbh, it sucked. I suffered a lot. My Rahu MD put me in contact with a lot of vile people who I'd not lose any sleep not meeting again. I'd actually gain some lol, but in all seriousness, I was treated very badly by many people including family members and got cheated/insulted many times. I was depressed a lot and sad most of the time still am but not as extreme as I used to be. Besides that, I would say Jan 2011 was the worst time for me. I was completely screwed up and suffering severe anxiety and mental tensions. I had to go to therapy.

There are only 3 good thing that I will say have happened to me during my Rahu MD.

1. Since Dec. 2012, I have become significantly more spiritual. I pray a lot and I meditate and it has worked wonders for me. I turned to God for support and I'd say it's the best thing I ever did during my Rahu dasha. Albeit, I'm 21 and I live in U.S, so I'm from a society that isn't Hindu majority and at a young age most young people aren't spiritual at all, so I believe it's saying something. I also got into Vedic Astrology (that's why I'm here lol) and it unveiled a lot of secrets and questions that I had about my life and answered many questions that I had about things happening in my life.

2. I'm set to complete my bachelor's degree from my university (dec. 2013) which is very well reputed and an extremely prestigious university in the world. I was the first person in my family to attend my college and a college that is as reputed as my college.

3. I made good friends. Even though as I said before, I met a lot of crazy vile people and I do have kemdrum dosh and did grow up very lonely and depressed and suffer all the maladies associated with it with time and experience I did learn how to make friends good one's in fact by being aggressive, putting myself out there and being proactive.

Didn't mean to tell you my whole life story lol, but tell me what you think and any advice/thoughts you have? thanks.

To study if marriage is promised or not,we look at the condition and strength of the 7H and it's lord in rasi.
To study the married life, 7H and it's lord in D9 is studied.
The D9,as a whole,is also looked for life after marriage,fortune and true dignity of the planets.

This is from what I know.You should really read up topics pertaining to marriage posted on this forum by experts. I think there is one by eiter Shrikanth sir or Ramanan sir (am not sure,you'll have to search)

I asked so because I wanted to know how Rahu is acting in your chart.I consider it debilitated in Sag and exalted in Gemini though there is a school of thought that considers it exalted in Taurus and debilitated in Sc.

Another reason to ask you was that I was born on 11th Sep,1991 in Mumbai,India and we share a lot of configurations.Not to suggest that we would have similar or exact experiences because Vedic astrology is sophisticated enough to even differentiate between twins while our birthdate are days apart (and so is the place ,environment ,atmosphere culture and society)

However, I understand that you went through similar events in Rahu Md as I did (and most people do esp those with deb Rahu)
Saturn's transit in Virgo ( before entering Libra in Nov,2011) over your natal Sun in 9H could have been the reason for most of the problems you;d faced around 2009. It just contributes one point to that house ashtakavarga and usually Saturn transit over natal Sun is not good.

I agree that the best gifts Rahu has to offer are setting an inclination to spirituality in the native and the progress that follows the pain and betrayal faced in this dasa. It helps you to stop being dependent on others. I'm not sure but I think that this Rahu Md - Moon AD can be tad better than previous Rahu-Sun dasa.

I'm awaiting my graduation results too which are due sometime this month or maybe early next month.
Good luck for yours. Oh and yes, am the only one in family to take up science in college. Everyone (even my cousins..all of them) are commerce graduates. I'm not really happy with my decision to change my stream from commerce to science 2 years after high school to complete my 12+3 but there's not much I can do about it now. I'm of the opinion that major decisions during sade-sati,rahu dasa(more so in Rahu Sat,Rahu-Ketu,Rahu-Sun,Moon and Mars) and bad transits are usually unfavorable/unsatisfactory in the long run.

Hi kunal,
You got it slightly wrong.

If saturn is in capricorn in the Rasi chart chart, then saturn acts like a capricorn saturn throughout.

When saturn moves to 12th in NBC chart, it means saturn gives the result of Lagna through the 12th house and the effect will still be that of the capricorn saturn's.

*Saturn does not give sagitarius charecteristics. It is still in capricorn only*

Also, Venus signifies how much luxury you will enjoy even if u have money or not.. for that, one's venus should be powerful or moderately strong and should be placed in a cool, fun house for venus like the 5th for example..

So,, Venus should not be afflicted and should be in a friendly house for the happiness between the native and the wife..

8th house in Leo with Jupiter (i'm a capricorn ascendant); my 7th House is exalted with moon in 5th house in taurus. i have no planets in 7th house, but i do have rahu in 12th house aspecting venus + jupiter in 8th house; it's in saggitarius.

I have venus in 5th house in leo in my upapada. would that make any difference at all????
