I live in the UK and have been renting a property with my husband since April 2006. As of September 2012 we now have a child and would really like the security of owning our own home although we have nothing in the way of a deposit. It's so difficult for first time buyers here due to deposit size.
Our current lease on this property is due for renewal in September 2013. We are not sure if our landlord will raise our rent or want to sell the property but we can hopefully stay here.
Our only hope of buying is if we come into some money that can help for the deposit, or if my husbands father (who is fairly wealthy) can help us. Is there any time during the next two years when there is a possibility we will buy a home of our own?
