Vaiseshikamas / Amsa Balas ?

Hello all,
just wondering what Vaiseshikamas / Amsa Balas ratings mean in regards to the chart?
I'm looking at them in jhora software here and not sure what to think of them...

The system seems split into:

Shodasa varga (16)
Dasa varga (10)
Sapta varga (7)
Shad varga (6)

so say a planet scores " 9 " in dasa varga (or any of them).
"9 - airaavata"

what results from a planet with a high score vs. one with nothing?
nothing doesn't seem to change anything, but high score adds benefic effects?

My highest rating is: sun "10 - uchchaisrava"
