I saw a big trident on a female's palm (right) the other day. The lines extended to the Merc mount, Sun mount and Sat mount, respectively, forming the trident which covered almost the whole palm (lengthwise).
What is this?
There was even a small trident withing the big trident along the sun line.

Tridents are supposed to be very good - it is in fact the ONLY common sign on the palm which is considered 100% good (you have others like the conch, fish etc. but these are not common signs).
They represent good karma from the past which helps you in your current prosperity. And specifically on the mount of Saturn if it occurs there, it means good karma from the past to help you tide over current difficulties.
When the three prongs of the trident goes to different mounts, like in the case of the lady to the mounts of Sun, Mercury and Saturn, it has the capacity to combine the energies and characteristics of the 3 (different) mounts together, making the native very lucky.
The mount of the Sun has to with prosperity and fulfillment of life. People lacking the Sun line (a vertical line rising to the Mount of Sun - not to be confused with many small lines which is not so good), no matter how good the hand is on the whole, are not likely to do well in life. They lack the sparkle or zest in their life. Of course other symbols can replace the Sun line like the trident. In the case of the lady, this is fully compensated by having another small trident rising from the prong of the trident in the Sun mount
The mount of Mercury has to do directly with money and brilliance. A single good Mercury Line means the person is a highly intelligent person and this works towards the benefit of the person in some material way.
The mount of Saturn like I said has to do with karma. If a trident is found fully within this mount, it usually means good karma. Here with only one prong going into this mount, it means good karma intermixed with the Saturnine energy of perseverance is in evidence and put to good use.
The lady should be highly successful barring any other misfortune marks that may be found on her hand also, but usually the trident is so powerful that misfortunes can also be swept aside.

Let me add what it means to have marks found on the Left Hand, Right Hand or Both Hands.
Any marks found on the Left Hand means the person uses his asset in an intuitive manner (Right Brain) and on the Right Hand in a more determined manner, something which the person consciously make use of and often, affects a large part on how he lives his life on this Earth (Left Brain). If found on Both Hands, the person becomes very powerful in the use of that particular mark (asset).
What happens if that mark is a liability? Then on the left hand, it can be a stumbling block behind the scenes but on the right hand, it can be a real stumbling block between success and failure.
But what if we add in the picture of the Major Hand and the Minor Hand? The Major Hand is the hand the person is comfortable in using.
The Major Hand magnifies whatever has been said previously about the Left Hand and the Right Hand, and it affects the person's fate on this Earth. The Major Hand is after all his first hand in interacting with any situations that he encounter while he live his life on this Earth.

There might even be a couple of more smaller tridents formed within the big trident (mostly along the Merc and Sun lines).
It's on the lady's right/major hand. I haven't really checked her left palm.

Any small lines ascending upwards from a major line shows achievement and energy.
In the case of lines joining a major line, it means those lines give support and also helps to strengthen the line. In some ways it may even be better than the 1st case because whereas ascending lines show achievement at that point in time, support lines strengthen the major line throughout the life of the native.
You message me to say that Sun, Mercury and Venus are involved with the 9th, 10th and 11th houses. So why is Saturn left out?
There is actually no one to one correspondence between mounts and planets. Mounts signify the kind of energy involved and the energy can be implemented in several ways in the chart and not just through the Grahas.
For example, Saturnine energy in a chart could be due to strong 10th and 11th houses (because of the three way mutual reception which you mentioned in your message) and these houses being where Saturn is the natural ruler, it manifests as a prong in the trident going to the mount of Saturn.
So not to be too quick to map in a one to one manner between the mounts and the planets.

As an interesting side note, let me explain the Solomon's Cross. It gives one occult powers.
This is the only cross in the hand that is considered good. Basically it is just a big cross found in the middle of the hand.
I have a Solomon's Cross on my left palm. So my knowledge of the occult is of an intuitive kind. This is the first time I have ever answered anyone on Palmistry and I seldom read Palmistry books and only cursorily. My grasp on these matters just spring up from within me.
According to palmists, if the cross is found in the middle of the hand, the person strives to be as accurate and as knowledgeable as possible. But if the cross is more towards Jupiter mount, then the person uses this knowledge more for ambition and power.
My Solomon's Cross is RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE, not veering towards any mount.
Let us see any other special characteristic about my Solomon's Cross. The following points are my own observation. It is not published anywhere in the website.
(1) It connects and sits between the heart line and the head line. This shows the way I approach occult is a combination of thinking through and intuitive feel.
(2) It sits on the path of the fate line. This shows I am heavily fated to come into occult matters at one point my life. I started being more interested in occult matters when I joined this forum.
(3) The point where the Solomon's Cross sit between the heart and head line is where both these lines are PERFECTLY PARALLEL. This shows I use intelligence and inuition in a very balanced and correct way to come into any conclusions.
(4) The cross is lying between the mount of the Sun and the mount of Saturn. This shows I would be an authority on the subject, rather than just a follower. In a chart, the 6th of Sun and the 2nd of Saturn, denotes someone being a leader in any particular field. Here because the Solomon's Cross is involved, the field is occult matters.

Hi,
what does having a fish sign on head line means.

I think I even noticed that the curved line going up to the Sat mount along with a line rising from the Ven amount and the headline is creating something like a fish sign in the middle of the hand. The head of the fish is not totally rounded.
It is like the fish here, with the 2 tails http://tamilastrology.hosuronline.com/P ... /2.psd.jpg

I came across an Indian Palmistry website which says that the fish symbol should only be found in the Mount of Luna and at the outer side of the Life Line towards the end of the Life Line. In the Mount of Luna, it predisposes to drowning.
But I recall reading something quite different.
So I do another search and got this link.
http://www.astro-palmistry.com/threads/ ... n-palm.114
It talks about the fish sign on various mounts. But it does not talk about the fish sign on a line, like in this case the lady. Given the qualification of this article on the fish symbol, I will now go ahead and interpret what I think a fish sign on the head line means.
It should show the lady is pious and intelligent. As fish is also the sign of Jupiter, it therefore should also show riches. She is good in the fine arts like writing (fish on head line) or dancing (rising Venusian lines joining a main line) or sculpting (energy of one prong of the Trident going to Mercury). And these can be manifested because of her perseverance (Saturn is involved0.
Now one thing I DISAGREE with this current article which I quoted is that it says ANY SYMBOLS SHOULD NOT BE MADE UP BY ANY CROSSING OF THE MAJOR LINES. For example, a triange is made up of the head line crossing the life line for TWO OF ITS SIDES. I feel special symbols could also be made up this way. In this case it just mean whatever you interpret about the special symbol has connotations with what the Life Line represent and what the Head Line represent. LESS TO DO WITH THE MOUNT ON WHERE IT IS FOUND.
I am really good in occult matters........

I have a similar trident on my hand. The base of this trident is at the bottom of my palm, a little above where the line of fate starts. There is also a faint trident at the end of my line of fate which ends on mount of Saturn.
I have been looking for a description this and this forum is the only place I could find an explanation for the same. Thank you.
I am currently struggling in my life in and out of jobs since ten years now. Any positive words here would help
