guardian angel is not a vedic astrology concept.
concepts like guradian angel, birth stones, soul-mates, twin-souls are not covered by Vedic astrology.

That doesn't mean that these concepts don't work......just can't be interpreted within the realms of vedic astrology.

Shilpaji is correct, this has nothing to do with Vedic astrology.

Coming back to your initial question, there is often a confusion between guardian angel and spirit guide.
A guardian angel is an angel assigned to descend from heaven to protect/guide us, like Archangel Michael and Archangel Raphael.
A spirit guide is a spirit always there to guide us, it could be an ancestor, late relative, etc

I get your point. How about the spirit guide like ancestor or relative who are there to protect us ?
I have also heard about ishtadevatha and I guess it is an indian concept.
Sometimes I do hear people saying about jupiter in 12th house as some sort of protection.
So it would be good if you could analyse on these lines ! Thanks.

The 12th house from your AK in D9 has/is ruled by a planet which signifies the Ishtadevata.
I have heard that about Jup too, but I dunno if that applies to D9. Shilpaji would know better.
Actually, I have a family filled with people with Jup in 12th in D9. One has exalted Jup in 12th of D9 lagna/AK and the other has Jup in 12th from lag (not AK).

Well ! I myself have Jupiter in 12th house in the natal chart and not in D9.

hey Praveen.. Jupiter in 12th does give you guides and guru's in your life.. Especially if it is with ketu which is the moksha karaka..

Just an information from my side which might help people who research astrology - I am quite interesed in higher things like spiritualism and so on from my childhood... meaning I had the aptitude for the understanding the things.. I always used to question religion and belived in spiritualism.. It kind of interests me a lot and this purely based on intuition..
I have met couple of persons from whom I have learnt a lot.. or at least someone will be there to give a message or so during difficult times... or I just realize the message myself on my own all of a sudden.. kind of intuition...
One more thing is that I have venus sitting along with jupiter in 12th house.. based on the degree difference, It looks almost like a conjunction.. Some people say it is guru-shukra yoga.. I am really not sure...

The concept of guardian angels in Vedic Astrology is your Ista Deva. There is also the concept of Dharma Deva.
