Saturn - Some Interesting Facts Not Easily Discernible

Saturn represents darkness BUT do you know Saturn in Capricorn gives a fair complexion. Probably this is due to the Nakshatras in Capricorn which for the most part are ruled by the Sun, Moon in that order which are planets of light. The last few degrees in the the 1st two quarters of Dhanista gives the individual a more reddish complexion. Capricorn also not in the throes of Rahu also mean there is no overcasting of dark colours on the person's complexion as random patches unlike Aquarius.

Saturn with Moon has a lot of attributes some good and some bad. But the good ones can be really good. All taken from classics.

(1) In kendra, it helps to dispose off evil.

(2) Moon conjunct Saturn makes the person attractive.

(3) Moon with Saturn in Capricorn and especially in kendras, make the person rich.

Venus loves Saturn more so than even Mercury. Saturn always do the bidding of Venus and only Venus can unfreeze Saturn's attitude and melts his heart. Aspects by Venus on Saturn produce much good (but not the other way round).

Saturn gives the ability to organize......and you need a good Saturn for knowledge acquisition as well.......Saturn helps to impart mathematical ability through its ability to memorize long steps in mathematical proofs where one step logically follows the other and you must keep track of the steps in sequence.......

Saturn can give revolutionary way of doing things through its rulership of Aquarius..........so it can sweep all existing structures under the carpet and re-build new ones.....

A strong Saturn gives longevity......regardless whether it has any relationship with the 8th house but if it does have a relationship, the strength would be made stronger....but if it is poorly place, its relationship with the 8th house would shorten the native's life....

A good Saturn would take care of others.....other people would depend on the Jataka concerned for their daily needs....Saturn is practical so not that airy-fairy like Jupiter......it understands men has to survive before they can go on to higher pursuits like philosophy although it is also a philosophical planet.....

Saturn is loyal and dependable and helps others to organize their own lives through ingenuity although we often hear Saturn is a stickler for rules and authority.....unlike Sun which builds broad organizational framework for others to follow.....So Saturn is more democratic than the Sun sometimes........especially if it wants the person not to fall....Sun builds and Saturn prevents and maintains with ingenuity sometimes but usually with rules....

A good Saturn conserves and preserves any goodness in a Yoga or found in the chart....on the contrary a bad Saturn means the person would always meet with hiccups throughout life.....

10th to Saturn shows career and 11th to Saturn shows positions in various sectors in society or within the organization with the consequent steadiness in gains.........1st to Saturn (where Saturn is placed in the chart) shows strength......all three are needed for the person to progress much in life.....other planets can give riches....but not the power and position which Saturn gives.....Rahu can also give power and positons but is more outside the structures of society OR the ability to climb up fast through charisma.....

If Sun combines with Saturn.......Sun should be stronger eg. by sign position in Leo to counteract Sun's inherent disadvantage by Saturn....only then the conjunction can give much good

Jupiter should come a few signs before Saturn so that ideas come first and the the building up of the structures..........Jupiter should be in trines and Saturn in kendras....trines are for ideas and kendras are for building.....the Ascendant is considered a trine for this rule since Jupiter does very well in the 1st and Saturn does badly in the 1st generally (although not all the time). Jupiter should not be together with Saturn because Jupiter becomes weak when combined with Saturn (conjunction).

Mars with Saturn is generally bad BUT it can be overcomed through many apsects or conjunctions between the natural benefics of Jupiter, Venus, unassociated Mercury or Mercury combined with natural benefics and bright Moon in the chart. Then the Mars Saturn conjunction or mutal aspect can actually build strength in character.....

Mercury works better with Saturn via aspects (one way or mutual). When combined, the thinking process is somewhat hampered even though the person can be structed in the way he thinks......

Saturn represents past karma in the horoscope....a good Saturn means you have less past bad karma to deal with per se....although the functional rulership of Saturn also has to be taken into account.........

Saturn represents mudane affairs....just like the Moon........but Saturn rules those affairs where hard work is required to tackle them....Moon represents thouse that require the mind to dispose of......so Moon is the main significator of mundane affairs especially the 3rd to the Moon.....6th to Saturn represents the work and effort required to tackle the mundane affairs.....

Kumbha Rasi , Kumbha Lagna.

My lagna Lord Sa in Aries debilation. But Jupiter aspect is there on Sa from 7th house. Hope Sa is good to me.

I have some doubts.

For the (1) , does that mean that both should be in kendras( with out any aspect from the other OR mutual aspect).

For (3),it is the most confusing one(for me), does that mean that moon can be at any place(even 6/8 to this saturn) and saturn must be in capricon in a kendra OR Both of them must be in mutual kendras with saturn in capricon.


Kindly clarify.

I too got some doubts,
If saturn and moon is in lagna(Kendra) but in bad placement Ex: Situated in Simha Rashi(LEO), will Saturn turn beneficial due to kendra placement.

2) if it turns beneficial, will its aspects on 3rd, 7th and 10th will be beneficial.

Just curious to know. Kindly clarify.
