Please provide inputs on the priority in deciding the effect of planet/ dasha:
a) House in which the planet is placed
B) House in which rashi lord is placed
C) House in which nakshatra lord is placed
D) Houses which the planet owns
E) Houses which the rashi lord owns
F) Houses which the nakshtra lord owns
G) The aspects of the planet
Which of these shall have the primary effect and which factors shall have secondary effects.
For example, Say for vigo ascendant Jupiter occupies the lagna in the rashi of Mercury & Nakshtra of sun.
in which mercury is placed in 10th house while sun in 9th house.
So, In Jupiter MD whose effects shall be more prominent,
1st house in which jupiter is placed, 10th House in which mercury is placed, 12th house owned by sun.
4th or 7th house owned by Jupiter or 9th house occupied by sun?

Any insights on this on how to interpret/ prioritize the impact of position of planets, rashi, nakshatra shall help.

This is my understanding. MD is based on "Functional " nature of the planet in question. Jupiter MD will be based on lordship his houses--- 4th and 7th. Here Jupiter turns out to be functional malefic and he is also afflicted by Kendrathipadya Dosha.
His MD will be troublesome. We can not be suffering for the entire 16 years! The sub-periods of other planets will give us relief. The good or bad happenings depend on the functional nature of those planets.
The sub-periods of bhadhak (in this case Jupiter for Virgo lagna) will give trouble.
What happens during the MD of bhadhak (in this case Jupiter again)? Sub-periods of other planets will give relief.
Kanya (Virgo).—Functional benefics and functional malefics as per Late Sri. B.V.Raman. These will guide the Maha Dasa periods and Dasa sub-periods.
Venus is alone the best benefic.
Moon, Mars and Jupiter are evil or malefics.
Saturn, the Sun and Mercury are neutrals.
Some say that lagna-lord is a benefic.
