Hello everybody
This is an advanced question about finding your name exactly. It would be very interesting to see an answer from a truly talented astrologer.

I would like to know how to find your name in your birth chart, or whether it extends to any other charts etc.
I know that the padams have alphabetical meanings, but how do you find your name in the chart? and what is the order to piece the word(s)/syllables together?

for instance, the planets in padams for me bring out the characters di-bhe-bhi-u-yo-di-khe-ja-ja-hu but my name is Michael William Watson.

Thanks to all

Mycallwashere ji,

I think the purpose of associating syllables with Nakshatras/Grahas was just the reverse. It is good to name the person in accordance with these associations and that is how naming used to be done traditionally. Hence couple of hundred years back if you were to know the name of the person you could deduce the Nakshatra based on such association.

It is also believed that such naming is auspicious. May be the sounds (when people call the person by name) create positive vibrations!

Today we have quite a few examples of people changing their names on numerology. I am not sure whether they also consult the numerologist to suggest names for their children!
